I’d like to introduce the Highland Cow I fell in love with at a local farm recently, the first time I have seen one.
I’ve been working on him for the past couple of weeks. He is on a full sheet of PastelMat 27x18.5”, so it’s quite big compared to my usual size.
Drawn with PanPastels, Pastel pencils.

Here is my finished Grey-necked Crowned Crane from my own reference.
I did change my mind on the background a couple of times, but I got there in the end and just love how the bird just pops off the page.
It is 7x15” and been drawn with a selection of PanPastels and Pastel pencils on PastelMat.
Hopefully for my next piece I will change it up a bit with a different colour other than green for the background.

Here's my alpaca all framed in an 11x14" frame. I'm glad I chose to cut a brown mount for it, I think it goes really well together.

I framed my Red Kite pastel picture yesterday. I was going to go with a brown frame and mount, but I think this dark grey looks so much better.
