I have updated our Amazon wishlist with some needed items. The fans will be for the stalls at Foxworth. There are large fans down the middle of the barn but we are already seeing that stall fans will be necessary as well. There are also items added for Ninja’s splint changes which are every 4 days. Fly spray, weed killer, grass seed are other needed items. If you would like to purchase an item it will be shipped directly to us.

I added some water and Gatorade for our workers and volunteers as some of yall wanted to send them hydration last summer and they greatly appreciated it!

They had it in some contraption — He has made it so far, but he was sure in sad sad shape 🙏💜🙏 Please speak up when you see animal abuse happening ! Thank God for Rocking R Rescue and helpers!

We had our 1st snowfall overnight here in northeast Ohio. Our generator kicked on and off several times throughout the night due to power outages. If my kitties did not have 'portable' fleece in the form of cozy clothing, they would be buried under a blanket somewhere. Non-restrictive fleece outfits that they can wear, helps them be warm while also being all up in everyone's business, ha ha.

Not about a rescue in Need, but about Keeping our Farmers 👨‍🌾 Farming 🙏💚🙏💚

Before you complain about someone’s prices, you should buy a cow.

Before you tell someone their milk, meat, soap, cheese, produce, etc. is over-priced, you should buy land.

Buy land. Pay for infrastructure. Buy a cow. Train the cow. Pay to Feed the cow. Care for the cow. Learn to milk the cow. Actually milk the cow. Cry over milk the cow kicked and spilled everywhere. Cry over your sick cow while you sit up all night with the vet. Stay up all night with your cow.

Before you complain about someone’s prices, show up. Show up every day. Even when it’s 106*. Even when there’s a hurricane. Even when it’s hailing. Even when it’s freezing and your hands don’t work right. Even when you only got one hour of scattered sleep the night before.

This post is not to complain, I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. But it’s important that everyday people understand what they are paying for. Small farms like ours don’t get government subsidies. We pay for everything out of pocket. Before you make a comment about prices think this through. I genuinely believe people make these comments out of ignorance, not to be ugly or rude.

Farmers pay for their products with their lives. Time, blood, energy, emotion, no days off. Most of us don’t break even, much less make a profit. We do this because we believe there is a better way.

When you buy local, you pay for more than the soap or milk or produce in your hands.

Before you complain. Buy a cow. Or goats. or grow a large garden.

Just be mindful.

Here is a Youth Children’s Ranch that does a whole LOT of good for retired race horses, ponies, kids, teens, and even adults, it’s a sanctuary and They do great things !!! Please support and Follow them! Share far and wide so we can get them some donations!! ❤️🙏❤️

Hello Friends,

This year, hay is scarce and the price for it is going up, up, up. 💰

Last year, we paid $8 per bale and this year it is $12.50 (so far) IF our hay provider even has enough to sell. 😳

Hay producers are cutting late in hopes of increasing yield, which is currently reported to be anywhere from 10%-40% of normal. 😭

Come on rain! 💦

We have a hay field which is generously donated to support our rescued equines.  It is SUCH a blessing in this current climate! 🙏🏽 ✝️

However, we need to raise funds to pay our hay cutter. We were able to get 235 bales from the field (about half of normal). 🎉

We need $878.00 to pay our cutter, which is a fraction of what we would have to pay if it were priced for retail sale. 👏🏾

We currently have expenses of about $3000 per month for feed and board, plus a vet bill we owe from when we said goodbye to Cisco. 😢

Won’t you consider a donation to help us care for our beloved horses? 🙏🏽

We currently have 6 special needs horses, 4 being seniors ages 22, 23, 28, and 30, who require very expensive pelleted feed for their nutrition. 🐴

Today, we had to take him to the vet for some very concerning symptoms. In the end, we have been given pretty grim news. Liver and Kidney failure. He does indeed have a chance to live but we can not afford the care beyond tomorrow. Today I paid my savings of $4,000 to this point. We are hoping we can raise the funds to provide Croozer the treatment/care he needs. I am praying I can raise the money to tell the vet they can continue care after tomorrow.
