Friends in the Westfield area....can you help?

We need your help! Feline-Canine Friends continues to grow and change, and we need more volunteers to help meet the needs of the felines in our care. Could we borrow you for a couple of hours per week? Any day and any time between 9:00 a.m. and noonish?

Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

Scoop and wash litter boxes;
Refill food and water;
Sweep, mop floors;
Laundry and dishes;
Transport cats to appointments;
Socialize the cats;
Spa days: brush, trim nails, clean ears;
Foster!

We are excited to announce the new SPAY-NEUTER-ADOPT specialty license plate, now available from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. To acquire this specialty plate for your vehicle, please visit https://wisconsindot.gov/Pages/dmv/vehicles/title-plates/spay.aspx

An additional $25 donation, paid to WDOT for each plate purchased and subsequently renewed, will go to The Fix Is In, Inc. These funds will be used to help Wisconsin residents, humane societies, and veterinary clinics increase their spay/neuter efforts.

Calling all TNR groups! Petco Love has a grant deadline of April 30th for access to care (spay and neuter!). It's easy to apply. We'd be happy to help review any write ups prior to submitting. We have been lucky to receive a grant every year for the last 3 years.

Apply to receive a grant to further your animal welfare initiatives. Eligible pet shelter and adoption organizations can learn about the available grants here.

A number of our live traps are MIA so we are putting out a plea in case one might be sitting at your farm or property, after it was borrowed for a cat trapping effort. **We are not operating as a vet clinic. We are exploring diverse options to support and facilitate spay and neuter.**

On January 20th we helped facilitate 23 outdoor cats from the Marshfield area get spayed and neutered as well as vaccinated! A big thank you to Marshfield Veterinary Services for hosting and helping. Thank you Dr. Lenore for volunteering your time! A huge thank you to PetCo Love for funding this effort.

MOBILE VET CLINIC COMING TO TCHS ON 11/8 & 11/9

We have partnered with Underdog Pet Rescue out of Madison. We will be having a low cost spay/neuter and wellness check clinic on November 8th and 9th at the Seidl Center next to the Humane Society.

WOW!!! 😍😍😍😍 So much love! Thank you all so much for your kind words. We have enough people to select from for the interview. Thank you!! We too wish our clinic was still open, but the stars did not align and we had to stop offering veterinary services. We are supporting spay/neuter in other ways. Right now you can apply for a $50 reimbursement toward each barn cat you have fixed. More details at our website, thefixisin.org, along with a list of low cost services in the state.

SEEKING BARN HOMES FOR 7 CATS ASAP!!

Are you able to add 2 or more cats to your barn cat colony? If so please send us a private message!

We are part of a team effort to relocate a small colony from a property that the woman is moving from. Her neighbors shoot or poison cats, so she wants to see "her" kitties find a new home before she must move out of state. We have an opportunity to have them all spayed/neutered on Tuesday.

Relocated cats would need to be kept enclosed in a barn room or large dog kennel for a couple weeks so they acclimate to their new home. Please help if you can. Thank you!! (Kitten in photo is at the property and will be going to a humane society.) Cats are on property near Athens but would be fixed in Waukesha, so flexibility on final location.

MORNING TRANSPORT FROM SOUTH MILWAUKEE TO MADISON NEEDED FOR KITTY!

Okay, not the one in the photo, but we are sure the fella needing help getting to his neuter appointment is just as adorable!

We were contacted by a family in need. Their boy cat needs to be neutered so he can remain an indoor cat (you KNOW what boy cats start doing!). If there is someone who is willing to be the bus driver for the young man to get to his appointment in Madison, the family can pick him up at the end of the day. Thank you PetCo Love for the generous grant! We were able to help Shawano Cares About Critters TNR over 60 cats in Pound, WI. This four generation dairy farm will have a much happier and healthier cat herd.
