The Beginning of Zipleash
The first Zipleash came to be in 1996 when its creator, Fred Weston, needed a new solution to an old problem. He and his family, having moved into a new home, were prohibited from fencing in their large yard and resorted to an invisible fence. This scared their dog so much that he knew there had to be a better way. He recalled his father attaching their dog to the clothesline to keep it contained, but the dog was always getting tangled in the leash. That was when he designed the Zip Leash.
