Duties can include monitoring cats, cleaning & re-lining traps with newspaper, & clinic clean-up. Snacks, drink, & lunch is provided!

We had a special treat to end off this year, too. After 6 months of wondering around, 13-year-old Phoenix was reunited with his loving owners. 🐾❤️

After almost a month missing, our hearts are full after seeing Goose find her way home yesterday 🥹🧡

THANK YOU FOR TNR'ING!! This clinic, your trapping brought us 199 CATS to be FIXED!! 🎉

-6,000 cats is our 2024 goal! We have 4 clinics left and are on the right track😼
-November 24th registration will open next week 😸

This past weekend 249 CatFriends were fixed and we surpassed 5,000 kitties for 2024😸🎉 MAHALO‼️ We cannot do it without all of YOU- your time and effort trapping, volunteering, supporting, and donating🥹 Thank you to the awesome Dr. Jeff whom we are excited to work with again next year❤️

Our October 27th clinic registration is open and we are ready for more CatFriends😼

Joyce Salmon was a pioneer of Trap Neuter Return Manage in Hawaii and an inspiration to form Cat Friends. We thank her for helping so many cats during her lifetime.

I am sad to share with you that Joyce has passed away. She was my friend and a co-founder of ARH. Joyce would have been 87 today. At her request, there will be no service and no obituary published in the newspaper. Joyce devoted her long life to teaching compassion to all and rescuing hundreds of cats. She was a pioneer of TNRM in Hawai'i and is survived by her 4 cats, whose futures are secure and safe. Joyce worked as reference librarian at Cooke Library at Punahou School for 37 years and enjoyed her retirement assisting with archival materials and, of course, community cats.
She will be missed, but her legacy of compassion will continue in the years to come. .

303 was our grand total for this weekends efforts. Thank you to Dr. Jeff for traveling to make a difference here in Hawaii. To all of our volunteers and all of you who are making the efforts to trap and bring in all of our CatFriends. We were able to reunite a family with their beloved cat that’s been missing for a month and thought they would never see again. Such a success! Looking forward to another weekend ahead to make a difference in our community.

Getting to reunite a pet with its owner is one of the most rewarding things we can get out of holding our clinics! Of course along with being able to help over 150 cats this past clinic. Thank you again to our vets, volunteers, and all of you that spend the time to trap and release our CatFriends! Another one in the books for our 2024 year!
