After almost a month missing, our hearts are full after seeing Goose find her way home yesterday 🥹🧡

THANK YOU FOR TNR'ING!! This clinic, your trapping brought us 199 CATS to be FIXED!! 🎉

-6,000 cats is our 2024 goal! We have 4 clinics left and are on the right track😼
-November 24th registration will open next week 😸

This past weekend 249 CatFriends were fixed and we surpassed 5,000 kitties for 2024😸🎉 MAHALO‼️ We cannot do it without all of YOU- your time and effort trapping, volunteering, supporting, and donating🥹 Thank you to the awesome Dr. Jeff whom we are excited to work with again next year❤️

Our October 27th clinic registration is open and we are ready for more CatFriends😼

Joyce Salmon was a pioneer of Trap Neuter Return Manage in Hawaii and an inspiration to form Cat Friends. We thank her for helping so many cats during her lifetime.

I am sad to share with you that Joyce has passed away. She was my friend and a co-founder of ARH. Joyce would have been 87 today. At her request, there will be no service and no obituary published in the newspaper. Joyce devoted her long life to teaching compassion to all and rescuing hundreds of cats. She was a pioneer of TNRM in Hawai'i and is survived by her 4 cats, whose futures are secure and safe. Joyce worked as reference librarian at Cooke Library at Punahou School for 37 years and enjoyed her retirement assisting with archival materials and, of course, community cats.
She will be missed, but her legacy of compassion will continue in the years to come. .

303 was our grand total for this weekends efforts. Thank you to Dr. Jeff for traveling to make a difference here in Hawaii. To all of our volunteers and all of you who are making the efforts to trap and bring in all of our CatFriends. We were able to reunite a family with their beloved cat that’s been missing for a month and thought they would never see again. Such a success! Looking forward to another weekend ahead to make a difference in our community.

Getting to reunite a pet with its owner is one of the most rewarding things we can get out of holding our clinics! Of course along with being able to help over 150 cats this past clinic. Thank you again to our vets, volunteers, and all of you that spend the time to trap and release our CatFriends! Another one in the books for our 2024 year!

Tails, tails, and more tails! 227 male tails and 251 female tails total done over this past weekend. It was a great way to honor Dr. Eric Jayne the right way for a total of 478 CatFriends! Thank you to our friends at Aloha Affordable Vet services for your endless hard work in getting all of these CatFriends taken care of this weekend. Thank you to all of our volunteers for the long hours put in to make our two days a success, we can’t do it without you! Thank you to our great volunteer Carla for providing such an amazing lunch for everyone involved! We truly can’t do it without you all out there in the community so willing to put in the time to trap and give hope to these feral felines! What a success it was indeed 😸🐾

🐾CatFriends we were able to help 561 total cats over the last two weekends, all thanks to Dr. Jeff who travels here to help our feral felines! Thank you to our volunteers and to all of all of you for your continued support. We couldn’t do it without you all! 🐾

Aloha all CatFriends! We were able to close out a great month of June with over 400 cats helped in the month alone! Meow! Not only did we help with spay and neutering but we were also able to reconnect pet cats to loving homes! Which is another great success! Our July clinics are now open for registration! Happy 4th of July! 🐈

Happy Mother’s Day to all of those mommas out there! We spent ours helping out as many mommas as we could and their babies! Changing the lives of 151 total for the day. Thank you to all of our volunteers, vets, and techs for your hard work to serve our community in this way!

Thank you to all of our vets and volunteers traveling far and close. We get closer to our goal each clinic because of all of our CatFriends. Thank you to our trappers as we have already helped a total of 2,099 cats to date this year! Wow what a milestone only 4 months in. 🐱💕

PRANCE OVER TO CATFRIENDS FUNDRAISER THIS WEEKEND

Thank you to Greater Good Charities Good Fix and all the local groups and individuals who volunteered, we fixed approximately 1770 cats on Oahu at Aloha Stadium 9/16-9/21!

More great news! On Sunday CatFriends fixed 120 cats with the help of Dr. Kelly, Aloha Affordable Vet staff, amazing volunteers (including Dr. Kelly's mother!) and dedicated trappers. And the best part was that 1 pet cat was reunited with his owner after he had been missing since 2020!!! We love days like this!

Aloha! This is a time lapsed video of cleaning up the CatFriends van. The ladies trapped 33 cats, had them spayed and neutered, recovered them and released them after the 24 hour waiting period. After they go through all of that, they have to clean up the mess. Actual time spent doing this, on this day, takes a couple hours for one person. These ladies have spent countless hours, in their lifetime,to trapping, neutering and returning cats.
