He’s taken some time to warm up to being groomed especially when it comes to his face. Some dogs will happily sit there while others like Enzo need just a little more time to build up that trust.
He’s family keep him on a regular schedule and brush him daily to keep those pesky knots away. He’s a big boy and not yet one year old, they do such an amazing job taking care of so much furr!!!

Slowly introducing young puppies to being on the grooming table, going at their pace, using my scissors, being handled, the noisy blow dryer and so much more is so important to desensitise young pups. Especially if their hair is going to grow long and needs maintenance! #hairgoals 😂

I’ve had way too many cases in my tiny salon of late that are really sad, matting is where the hair is pulling on the skin, stuck so tight to the dogs body making them feel so uncomfortable.
Please please brush your long coated dog, grab yourself a soft Artero slicker brush, line comb the coat and then run it over with a comb 🪮 this whole process should be done whilst your dog is calm and maybe even sleepy. Brushing should not hurt if you are gentle and use the right brush.
I recommend you set yourself a 5 minute timer every night before bed to brush your dog, he will thank you for it.
And recommend you have your dog on a regular grooming schedule to keep on top of their coat.

I highly recommend @refuresh_australia for all deshedding tools, they are so gentle on dogs coats which is why I love them so much! Not harsh pulling or ripping of their hair, they are easy to use and do an amazing job getting so much undercoat out!!
