Really pleased to share that I have been awarded a Merit in ISCP level 3 award in Dog Behaviour, Welfare and Training! This has been hard work but I have enjoyed all the learning!

My dog of the month award for February goes too Etta. The reason why I’ve chosen Etta is because of her drop it and leave it stages have improved so much and she’s doing so well.

Ivy and I enjoying our first day of our holiday in Dorset. Our walk this morning has been lovely as ivy enjoyed so many new smells.

With the weather so hot, here are some tips. Walking your dog early or late in the evening. Making sure your dog has plenty of water. You could do training and sensory enrichment inside your house instead of a walk if it’s too hot. Check the temperature of any pavements you are walking your dog on. Shallow paddling pools can help cool your dog down.

This has been an exciting week. I have just passed my ISCP award in dog behaviour, welfare and training. I have studied this for a year and submitted 4 detailed written assignments. It included diets and nutrition, physical needs of dogs, evolution of dogs and the emotional and mental needs of the dog. I am over the moon with this. Can’t wait to carry on and studying to a higher level.

Today I took Archie and Ivy to the paddock today and they had so much fun! We practiced lots of recall practice, scent work and some touch stages. They both enjoyed exploring around there.

My training with Ivy today focused on road crossing practice. I’m really pleased with how she’s improved.

This training walk i practiced the “Let’s go exercise” with Simba . This is really useful when wanting to remove your dog from a situation.

Had a lovely training walk with Archie yesterday and Ivy came as well. We found a perfect field for them to run off lead together and play and practice recall. I was really pleased with both of them.
