Become part of the solution for feral and stray cats in your community! Learn how to do Trap-Neuter-Return at our popular virtual training. We'll teach you what TNR is, why it's a great idea and how to do it. Topics include dealing with neighbors, all aspects of trapping, and basic colony care. By the end, you'll know how to safely and effectively get your colony cats fixed.

Instructed by Bryan Kortis and Susan Richmond of Neighborhood Cats, hosted by the Community Cats Podcast and sponsored by Tomahawk Live Trap. Participants receive a Certificate of Attendance and animal control officers are eligible for Continuing Education Units from the National Animal Care & Control Association. $10 course fee.

Extra info on local TNR resources will be available to residents of New York City, Washington DC and Iowa. (Please note: availability of discount spay/neuter in NYC is limited at this time, but we'll help you find and pay for a vet!)

We are excited to announce a pop-up Dog Spay/Neuter event this weekend, Saturday, July 13 & Sunday, July 14. Space is limited to 50 surgeries each day. Services will be provided on a walk-in, first-come basis.

• Drop-Off Times:
6 AM to 8 AM

• Important Information:
-Do not give pet food or water after 8 pm the night before surgery.
-Constituents are asked to arrive early as spots are limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.
-Pet owners should bring proof of rabies shot or rabies shot will be administered with surgery.
-Pets that are not microchipped will get microchipped to receive services.

🐾Call for Help: Small Pet Carriers Needed!🐾

HSTB is in desperate need of small plastic animal carriers, specifically cat carriers. During kitten season, we use hundreds of these to safely transport the kittens around the shelter and into foster homes. If you have a new or gently used portable pet carrier, please consider donating it to our shelter.

Your donation can make a huge difference in the lives of these animals.

Homeless cats feeders: empty the cans on the a cement area , don’t leave a mess of bowls unless you will clean after (or else mean people retaliate) but DONT feed the cats (or street dogs) out of cans !!! Help the kitties from harm! ❤️

Animal Care is in desperate need of donations of towels, sheets, blankets, pet beds, comforters...anything soft our animals can use to cuddle or nap on! 🐶🐱

Donations can be new or used (clean of course!) and dropped off or delivered to Broward County Animal Care at 2400 SW 42nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
Animal Care is open daily from 11am-6pm for donations drop off.
