Happy National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day! As a dubious winner of the office ugly holiday sweater contest – I support this day 100%. I can tell you it had a sewn-on reindeer and blinking lights. As my gramps said, don’t half it. Do it right or don’t do it at all. It’s hard to out ugly the previous year’s sweater, but I’m here to tell you it can be done. Focker may have an ugly sweater too, but his was totally self-designed. While you contemplate how you’re going to tweak this year’s sweater, go get your cuppa and settle in to meet a handsome lad who’s going to make a great family dog.
Say hello to Luke. Luke is giving me ‘Elf’ vibes in his pic. Anyone else hearing, “SANTAAA!!!!”? Luke is an Anatolian/Husky mix of 3-years and about 100-pounds. Luke’s Foster Mama said she needed to brag on him for a bit. We’re not ones to hold anyone’s light under a bushel, so she shares, Luke, “does great with kids and other dogs, not sure about cats. Luke has great house manners, 100% housetrained, and loves his crate. He knows basic commands and loves to give you his paw. Luke loves going on walks and walks nicely with his harness.”
Luke loves love. There is no such thing as too many pets in Luke’s book. He has experience living with kids and is down for a good cuddle session. Luke is a lad who would happily stroll through the farmers’ market with you, come home, wait for you to fix your cuppa, and then couch snuggle while you watch old Christmas movies. I know for a fact he’d never judge your need to watch Hallmark Christmas movies back-to-back.
Pyr folks, this may come as a shock to you, but there are actual dogs that come when you call them. I’ve not experienced this so called ‘recall phenomena’ in my life, but I believe. Luke possesses the base beginnings of this very special skill. His Foster Mama has been working with him, and if I can get a break this morning, I’ll pop in and drop a video in the comments for you Pyr folks that need to see to believe.
Luke is hoping that his Furever finds him soon. He’d love for you to have a yard and he’s rather fond of private time in his crate, so he’s hoping you have one for him. He loves hanging with other chill doggos, so yappy, hyper, bouncy, bossy dogs – please make like Ms. Dionne, and just “Walk On By.” He finds Sacks-of-Meow to be hinky and untrustworthy. Yes, truth be told he’s 100-pounds of dog – afraid of any size feline. So, he needs to be in a cat free home.
If you have a Luke sized hole in your home, please go fill out an adoption application on Big Fluffy’s website and then e-mail his coordinator at: [email protected]. Make sure to wear your ugly sweater today with pride. Remember to drink your water, eat something green, and get outside safely to blow that stank off ya. When presented with the chance to be kind; choose to be kinder than you need to be.
