Driven Dog Training has a beginner agility class starting tonight at 7 pm. Today is the last day to register for this beginner class and it will be the last beginner offered this year. *Please note that there is a 2 week period during this beginner agility session that we will not conduct classes (July 31 and August 7), so this session will take at least 8 weeks to complete, potentially completing on September 4. But we also will postpone for inclement weather (extreme heat/thunderstorms) and our finish date may be pushed out later due to weather as well.

CLASSES STARTING THE WEEK OF MAY 20!

Classes are held here at my farm. The agility field is 1 acre and fully fenced in. All agility equipment is competition quality.

*This Wednesday morning class will run at 4 PM initially until June 19, then move to 9 AM the remainder of the training season.

We have set up our tentative class schedule that will start most likely late April to early May. Timing of the start of classes is related to the footing and the ground drying up enough to be safe for dog and handler teams to train on. Spring has arrived and there will be a tentative class schedule posted here soon! Class cost is $110 per dog. Classes are a 6 week session, running one hour weekly, weather permitting.

Due to the fact that this training takes place outside, we are at the mercy of mother nature and sometimes classes need to be postponed for this reason. We watch the heat index and storm risks to assess if we feel postponing on any particular class day is necessary. Students still have 6 classes, but if the weather causes cancellations, it could be more than 6 weeks to complete a class. Please keep this in mind if you are considering signing up for classes.

Classes will run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and the final schedule will be posted soon!

Private herding lessons and audit spots available (July 14 is lesson day, clinic is July 15/16).

While the working spots are filled for the Rachel Ritland Sheep herding Clinic that will be hosted here July 15th and 16, we have availability for private lessons on the 14th. Dogs should be at least a year of age to do lessons and cost is $50. For those dogs under a year of age but over 7 or 8 months that are interested in getting an evaluation done to see where their dog may be at that time you can reach out to me and we can discuss this option. We will also have unlimited auditing spots for both Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $30 per day and will include lunch if your audit spots are paid for at least a week prior to the clinic. We will have our next beginner class starting next week, Wednesday, June 28th at 7 pm (weather permitting). If you would like to register for this class, please send a direct message to this page asap as this is the only beginner class running in this session and payment for the class is required in order to hold a spot.

Exciting news! We will be bringing a clinician in for a herding clinic the weekend of July 15th! We are currently working out the details so stay tuned for updates! Border Collies of all levels will be able to attend. Other breeds with a foundation in herding training will also be able to attend.

Agility classes start up next week! We have a few openings in a few of our beginner classes, Tuesday at 6:30 PM and Wednesday at 7 PM. There are a few openings in our Advanced Beginner and Advanced Handling classes as well. Contact us to register if you would like to sign up for agility classes! See post below for specific availability as it's updated regularly to show current openings.

Spring agility classes are scheduled and registration is now open! Classes will begin the week of May 8, weather permitting.

Cost: $110 per dog/handler team
Class duration: 6 weeks
Classes meet for 1 hour each week
Payment for class is due at registration and to hold your spot in the class.

Spring is finally arriving and we are planning to start agility classes in May! If you are planning on signing up for agility classes this spring, please contact us asap so we can add you to a private planning group for students. All classes are held outdoors, so an exact start date is to be determined while we survey the footing in the agility field. As soon as it's deemed safe footing for dogs and students, classes will start the following week.

A formal schedule will be coming soon, but the tentative plan will be to host advanced and intermediate classes on Monday evenings and beginner classes on Tuesday evenings.

Class sessions are 6 week sessions, cost is $100 per dog/handler team.

Driven Dog Training will be hosting one final beginner class this year which will start next week on Tuesday at 6 PM, August 16th. If you have been looking to sign up for a beginner class, please send a PM to this page to get on the roster. Class is $100 and runs for 6 sessions, though due to Mother Nature, it may take more than 6 weeks as we train outside and need to postpone for inclement weather (heat/humidity and heavy rain/storms). Please contact us ASAP if you want to sign up for this class.

We are now taking inquiries for herding lessons/instinct. If you have contacted in the past regarding this, or have been waiting for the availability of this, please contact by messaging this page to discuss details and scheduling. We will offer lessons on Thursday evenings and some weekends, all weather permitting. Availability is on a first come first serve basis.

I've added an additional beginner class on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm as the 6 pm class filled the day it was announced. Wednesday 6 PM beginner only has one or two spots open as well. Spots are filling up fast for classes, so be sure to message here asap to claim a spot!

Planned schedule for agility classes starting this spring is set!

Location: Lake Odessa, Michigan
Cost: $100
Length: 6 weeks, class meets one hour each week

Exact start date is not yet set but will be announced as soon as the field is dry enough to host classes. I expect that will be by the end of April or early May at the latest. Those that sign up for classes will be added to a private training group to be kept up on the start date and other class details.

Contact Driven Dog Training to claim your spot in a class! If there is enough interest, I can add classes as well, so if there is something you are looking for and do not see, let me know. Private lessons will also be available on Monday during the day time.

Spring has arrived and it is time to start scheduling spring agility classes! At this time, we are currently waiting for the agility field footing to dry up and the temperatures to improve, so we do not officially have a planned start date just yet. We are at the mercy of Mother Nature, but tentatively, we may be looking at late April or early May to get started on classes this year.

I am also considering offering some day time class and/or private lesson options on Mondays. If you might be interested in this option, please reach out to let me know ASAP so I can work that into the planned schedule.
