So the saga continues.... we rehome the escape pig. And end up still with an escape goat whos supposed to be a calming goat for freckles, but he apparently doesn't give a crap about his job and decides to roam and ignore the screaming panicked horse back in the pen. So we thought sticking him in the chicken run w the pig would be a solution bc freckles can still see him but he can't get out.... wrong. It worked for one day but last night at midnight we were putting David back in with freckles bc he wouldn't stop yelling. Then David learned to get in the chicken coop through the little hole. He doesnt do much but sit in there but then freckles can't see him and all hell breaks loose. Again. Today Freckles got the gate open and ran laps around the chicken pen trying to get to David. David just hung out there watching lol. Fiona however was spinning in the center of the pen trying to predict where freckles was coming from next bahahaha. She was NOT a fan of the wild speckled pony lol. *sigh*

I've been lazy about posting here instead of my page....

So freckles and David. Although they are friends... David has yet to understand Freckles' needs and decides to duck out tiny holes ...bc well hes small and he can, and wander around. This then causes Freckles to lose his damn mind and scream and yell while running circles like a maniac. My neighbor is scared her dog will eat David lol so she keeps calling me frantically when he comes over for a visit.
We finally stuck him in the chicken run with the feathered friends and Fiona. They seem to get along rather well AND freckles can still see him from his area.... when David doesn't jump up INTO the coop that is....

It never ends people.... it never ends....

HuxleyPuppy got to meet the farm residents today. Everyone was super friendly and he happily greeted them, except Freckles. Not only does he look like a nasty swamp monster, but I had Huxley sit then I called for Freckie and when he came out of the stall and around the corner Huxley looked like he was gonna crap his pants (if a dog had pants of course 😂) then when Freckles realized I had no extra treats he rejected me and walked away lol

Well this was fun....NOT. pigs water didn't stay heated for some stupid reason so I had to bring out some warm water for them. Wilbur looked like he was hating life having to trudge through the drifts taller than him lol. Peytne acted like it was torture carrying freckles breakfast to him through the giant drifts out there, buck lucky enough for him he was warm and happy with 2 big buckets of water! I thought one was broken but it looks like, despite a rim of snow at the top. That its staying heated, so yay! We might be switching him and the goats bc their stall had less snow in it from this wind AND their pen is made from the panels that he can't bend down trying to get to the outside grass lol. Also found a lost chicken out in the snow under the wooden shelter we put the pigs waters under. Her b***y had ice on it but she was alive and ran straight to the food when we put her in the coop. Those Brahmas are tough!! Also discovered that Justin Bunny LOVES his new chicken friends a little too much lol. He's been trying to hump his favorites in all his spare time in the coop.... this must be how the Cadbury Bunny was created? Fun times....

Everyone was warm and happy this morning. Freckie inspected his breakfast this morning while I checked his water. Fiona and Wilbur still snuggle together even thought they each have an igloo house lol feathered friends were all happy to EXIT the coop this morning and stretch their legs before they get locked in. Bunny is still hanging out and happy... not sure when or if he'll figure out he can go down the ramp and escape.... but we are ready for Snowmageddon 2021!

The chicken coop has been taken over by Justin Bunny. Bubbles is eager to have this new "baby" to care for while the chickens pretty much ignore him ...the ducks however treat him like he's the most disgusting thing they've ever seen lol but alas everyone must stay alive and warm through this storm. Suck it up boys Justin is your new roomie.
