I wonder if her hair will ever grow back?
Her front legs were shaved to look like poodle legs.
Her neck was shaved for IV's.
Her sides were shaved to accommodate a Libre monitor.
Her Tummy was shaved TWICE for ultrasounds.
She despises me putting even a light coat on her, but I feel badly over her hairlessness.
And winter is here.

She goes through a pound of cod every day and a half. And cod is not cheap!

Zoe-Zoe was loving the snow! Iva chose to stay indoors.
The funny thing with Zoe-Zoe is she's a fussy eater. I never know what she will eat from day to day. If I'm lucky, she will eatcat least one meal. Turkey seems to be her favorite. The other day I tried to feed her Iva's prescription food with cod added to it. She wouldn't touch it. So I left it on the table and forgot about it. This evening, I was ready to dump it in the compost pile, but decided to offer it to her along with her turkey dinner. Darned if she didn't gobble both meals!
Maybe the secret is to let the food sit out and get a bit rank!
Also, she loves dehydrated chicken!

For you Shiba fans who did not know, Iva was diagnosed with Cushing's back in April. Then in September, she ended up at Tufts for 4 days suffering from ketoacidosis and pancreatitis. We've been working with great effort to get her healthy. She had a relapse of pancreatitis in early October and spent another 2 days at Tufts.
Since then, and with the help of appetite stimulant, she's been eating well. Her insulin was also increased.
She's getting back to her normal self...always hungry (but I can't feed her at whim). She'll never be 100% back to her old self, but I'm happy for her recovery progress.
As pictured, she looks forward to her meals 12 hours apart!!

We are new to the muzzle. And so I forgot to put it on yours truly this morning. Before I knew it, she had gobbled up a whole dead mouse!!! And she was not sorry!
I sure hope her urge to eat anything and everything subsides once her medication for Cushing's is properly adjusted.
