Tilly's Turn Tilly has had a hard life and thanks to the cooperative effort of two organizations it's now Tilly's Turn to have a shot at a good, happy life.

Something we are pretty sure she's never known. Tilly is under the care of Even Chance in Saint Louis, Missouri. We're not sure of Tilly's past but we are sure that her life started with a facebook post. Tilly's picture was posted on facebook with a plea for help from a neighbor, they didn't know who to turn to. A member of Even Chance contacted someone who had the authority to help, Saint Louis C

ounty Animal Care and Control. Within an hour an ACC officer was at the address listed with the picture and after a law mandated 25 hours Tilly was seized. It's hard to believe that a dog with no hair could be flea infested but she was! Not to mention underweight. After 3 weeks of immediate vet care and the wait to be legally signed over to STLACC, Tilly was given the green light to go to rescue. Since Even Chance had been involved since that first post they stepped up to offer Tilly a chance at life. Tilly's met with several vets already and there isn't a quick resolution. Her ailments range from an incredibly low thyroid, to anemia, to yeast and bacterial infections. She had to be dewormed and as a precautionary is being treated for Sarcoptic Mange. We have also discovered that she has an issue with one of her back legs, however she is not well enough to go under anesthesia at this time. The plan of action is to treat Tilly's most immediate needs and get her healthy enough to fully investigate all of her medical issues. We are guessing that Tilly is about four years old, so while she had a rough first part of her life she has many more years to become a happy, healthy and loved family member. With her super sweet disposition and love of people it is something we truly feel she deserves.
