Capital Equestrian Center is thrilled to welcome Jeremy Steinberg to Central Texas May 18-19!

Jeremy is an accomplished FEI High Performance rider, trainer, and instructor and former USEF Youth Dressage Coach who lives and works out of Aiken, SC.

Jeremy is fantastic with riders and horses of all levels and is one of the most in demand clinicians in the country!

Practice being nervous. ⁣
⁣
The only way we get good at anything is to practice it, right? So if you’re a person who gets nervous - show nerves, young horse riding nerves, new horse riding nerves, whatever - find little ways to practice being nervous and functioning anyway. Riding new horses gives you the heebie jeebies? Practice by getting on a friend’s saintly schoolmaster, so even if you go ‘round the bend, you’re unlikely to get hurt. Showing makes you squeamish? Enter a schooling show, or even pop your clothes on, braid, and trailer to another trainer’s stable for a “faux show.” ⁣

Nerves are part of the fight or flight response, and help keep us safe, so they’re not going away. But we can practice dealing with them in little bites, so the big bites don’t feel so big.

ATTENTION ALL THOROUGHBRED OWNERS/RIDERS - NEW HALO AWARD FOR THE 2023 SHOW SEASON

Do you want others to know that your Thoroughbred or Thoroughbred Cross hung the moon? Then this award is for you!! Halo was an eventing Thoroughbred who changed careers to dressage under his loving and dedicated rider, a CTDS member and went on to enable several other CTDS members to live their dream of learning dressage on a willing partner they could love and trust. Sadly, Halo passed away in 2023, leaving many heartbroken but grateful riders and friends behind. Halo embodied all that equestrians love about Thoroughbreds. He was all heart, full of try, loved having a job, and bonded strongly with his riders. Through a generous donation from a loving friend, The HALO Award has been established in honor and memory of this unforgettable horse. Requirements to be considered for this award are: Must have been a CTDS member during the 2023 season, the horse must be a Thoroughbred or T-Bred Cross, must have participated in 3 CTDS events in 2023, and must complete the award application prior to the February 9th deadline.
