JUST SAYING :- For a dog to be mentally stable, you as an owner must take your dog for daily walks to release mental and physical energy. The proper way to walk a dog is the dog walking either beside you, or behind you, and never in front of you. This may seem petty in a human’s mind, however it means a lot in a dog’s mind. When a human allows a dog to walk in front, they are sending signals to the dog that he is leading the human. Instinct tells a dog that the leader goes first. A lack of exercise allows the buildup of the mental energy which would otherwise be released in a proper walk, and permitting a dog to be pack leader can cause many behavioral problems in a dog—such as, but not limited to, hyper-activity, neurotic and/or obsessive-compulsive behaviors—all of which are signs of a dog that is not mentally stable.

Walking your dog also helps prevent urinary tract infections because your dog urinates regularly and thus, the bacteria are driven out of the bladder and the urinary tract. It will also affect your dog’s urine routine if kept delayed for a long time. A regular bowel movement can also be developed with frequent walking outside. It also allows the owner to see cues of possible health problems such as changes in the color, consistency, smell or frequency.......

When the snoring begins that only means one thing 😴😴

This is how we are spending the day, mam in her pjs n chillaxin with me😛 sums up our day perfectly 👌🥰

A morning wash n a chat with mam starts the day a loving one 😛

I made it to the top of the field n back today, without that stupid leg brace. Mam walked at a snail pace and supported my hind legs with my holder 😛

So this is where I am at tonight, even tho my face says I'm not impressed by it I really don't mind it 😛

The awakening today ABIT of a struggle with the ole legs today 😔 a quick massage of mam toilet duties done and now my bandages are back on. R&R today with more Cold laser therapy on its way 😔😛

Twas a nip in the air today but I managed a waddle in the back field today 😛

She made me do a lil walk today, to keep my limbs moving she says. She wrapped me up snug n warm I really didn't go far at all, less is more she says I agree today 😛

Looking for my family who are waiting to greet me 😛

A lil riverside stroll I really don't go far at. More than enough for me simply makes me happy 😛

Poppy The life of this Staffie..* Poppy*... In march 2011, at an approximate age of 4/6mths. She found her way into my world..I became her FOURTH owner, friends had removed her from a life of torture at such a young age..Where she had been muzzled, whilst other dogs attacked her!. ( four years on, she still carrys the scars) She was a sick puppy, with skin allergies.Her fur wasn't growing due to stress..Her anxiety's where on overload... I hadnt wanted or been looking for a dog, but there she stood infront of me..Something about her eyes drew me in, as she looked my way. As if to say "luv me & I will love you right back"... I pondered the thoughts of taking her on, the negatives high on the list..I pondered over the cruel start she'd had on life, she had not asked to be born, yet suffered for it..

Could I really turn my back on her, Ive tried in life to save people with troubles.When perhaps i should have turned my back on them..Why not give a dog that time and effort? At least they would appreciate it, and grow from it.. So I became her 4th and FINAL owner, through thick or thin... OMG!!! did I almost eat my words lol.. She was the devil dog from hell!! My challenge had begun to rehabilitate a dysfunctional pup, became a group effort from friends... She did however come with some sort of training, she was almost house trained just minor toilet trouble.... She chewed nothing, apart from given toys..Shoes where safe lol as was furniture, pheww She had traits of abidance, loved affection and people.. Children are no threat to her, and she showed no signs of aggression to them.. Although a lil hefty with her weight, but that itself is part a staffie trait .. Walking & dogs however where my worst nightmare,god I hated her then lol... But with determination and encouragement & help from friends it gets better year by year..I'd say the 1st yr being the worst! Since then, I have watched her grow in leaps and bounds. Her personality has grew, and shes captured a few hearts along the way.. She has the freedom and a life as a happy staffie now, not a tortured one.. She has more adventures then most people running free.. They say Dogs come into our lifes for a reason, even when we are not looking for them..In time the reason will become clear, this i found to be a true saying!! (Three month into owning Poppy, I lost my brother,2011..My son emigrated to usa, 2013..I lost my Mam in 2014.) Throughout the darkness of grief, when I reached out for a hand.. I found her paw.. She gave me a reason to carry on, as well as a shoulder to cry on. Does My dog deserve her own page?? hahah Toooooo right she does!!!!
