As the temperature rises, it's important to keep our furry friends safe from the scorching heat. Here are some tips to prevent heatstroke in dogs:
🐶Hydration is Key: Make sure your dog has access to fresh, cool water at all times, especially when outdoors. Carry a water bottle and portable bowl for hydration on the go
🐶Limit Outdoor Activities: Avoid strenuous exercise during the hottest parts of the day. Opt for early morning or late evening walks when temperatures are cooler.
Provide Shade: If your dog is spending time outside, ensure there's plenty of shade available. A tree, umbrella, or even a well-ventilated tent can provide relief from the sun.
🐶Never Leave in a Hot Car: Even with windows cracked, temperatures inside a car can skyrocket within minutes, leading to heatstroke and even death. If you can't take your dog inside with you, it's best to leave them at home.
