I have over 28 years experience caring for and working with dogs and other animals. I have previously been a member of the APDT working as a assistant dog trainer for Armchair Dogs, walked dogs on a voluntary basis for two rescue centres, been a pet sitter with Animal Aunts and most recently managed a team of dog walkers for a local doggy day care. I am passionate about positive training methods and building strong bonds with dogs, am fully insured and raring to go walkies!

🌟🌟Smarty Pets Star of the week!🌟🌟

I hadn’t forgotten about star of the week, but have been taken my time on this one.

I also kept missing the opportunity to take a picture of this handsome boy with the bandanna on…. So here he is without it.

Duke is a wonderful young boy who’s come from Romania. He’s been in his new home five months now. He’s had a lot of upheaval in his short life, being rescued then moving country to a foster home and eventually into his forever home.

Unfortunately for him and his family (and all of us that loved his “mum”) that wasn’t the end of the upheaval as his new mum became very ill very quickly. She loved Duke and he brought her comfort, and joy to her last months, with his goofiness, snuggles and snores and awful farts! Lying at the foot of her bed, next to her… and with occasional over the top morning greetings.

So now he’s a one man dog, giving joy and companionship to his “Dad”. His “Dad” is doing a great job, giving Duke the stability he needs and learning together how to be a great team.

Despite being a worrier and a nervous boy he tries every day to get as much joy out of the day possible and is a wonderful walking companion.

Well done Duke you are an absolute star with a huge heart and it’s a pleasure to know you.
