PET CARE ASSOCIATE
Blue Step is looking for an individual who is hungry to learn more about dog psychology!
This position offers an opportunity to learn from an experienced dog behavior and to become a calm confident leader for our amazing group of dogs.
This is your dream job if… you also like cleaning kennels, picking up p**p, organizing supplies, mop, sweep, enjoy working in a clean environment and love being covered in slobber and dog hair!
The ideal candidate should reside near the Farmers Branch, Carrollton, or Addison area as we are a small local business who care about the community.
Dog responsibilities include handling, walking, feeding, giving medications, bathing, supervising off leash social time while monitoring safe interactions. All under the foundation of ensuring a calm environment so the dogs feel safe and understood under your guidance.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Open availability during Monday through Sunday, mornings, evenings, mid-day hours and Holidays.
Mornings starting shift 8:00 am; Mid-day shifts 3:00 pm; Evening shift 7:30 pm
• Has reliable transportation
• Has experience handling dogs all sizes and temperaments
• Willingness to learn and grow and isn’t above doing the dirty work
• Gets along well with others
• Has good people skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

We start with a 30-day trial period at a training rate of $14.50; moving up for this role after trial period is $20 per hour, with the possibility of increases based on performance and dedication.
