Happy Hounds Dog Walking and Pet Services offers a friendly, professional and reliable service in Hamilton, Larkhall and Bothwell. Services offered include Group & Individual Dog Walking and a Pet pop in service for those who have dogs that don't require full walks but still like some attention. I also offer home visits for cats and other small pets when you are on holiday. As well as being fully

insured and CRB checked, I have a Diploma in Dog Pyschology and a number of other qualifications in dog care. I also hold a valid Pet First Aid Certificate so you can rest assured your pet will be in safe hands.

I got such a lovely greeting from my furry friends this week - they were all delighted to be back out with their buddies.

We've had lots of frosty frolicks - ending today with a -5 walk in Larkhall 🥶❄️🐾. Not that the dogs minded one bit - a few even had a go at ice skating (albeit accidentally 😳).

I can't lie though, I am looking forward to the 12 degrees we have been promised for next weeks fun and games 🙏😎🐶

That's us finished our walks for 2024 and as we have come to expect this year, the weather this week was changeable 😂🌧🥶🌤💨

We had lots of fun in the sun, frost, rain and wind. White Max has been finding plenty of logs to scratch his back under, Travis stopped mid walk and lay down for some tummy tickles, Mac didn't find any helmets, balls or handbags this week but still had a great time, Clover has been keeping all the boys - and girls - busy with constant chasing. Thankfully Lola went a whole week without finding fox 💩. Cosmo got very excited when I was singing to him - or maybe her was trying to get me to stop 🤔. Safe to say we all had a fun, busy week.

We are now on holiday until 6th January and will look forward to more fun and games then.

George, Baxter and myself would like to wish all of our customers a Merry Christmas and Happy 2025, and many thanks for all of your lovely gifts.

We've had so much fun on this week's walks. It's been a bit damp but we've been lucky not to get caught out in the rain.

Mac found his 2nd cycling helmet of the year, Travis found a ball that was so big he was the only one who could pick it up - though everyone else loved chasing him to give it a go! Clover kept Wilbur on his toes on Wednesday and they had great fun chasing each other - and everyone else! Buster is enjoying all the mud and doing his best - along with Bono - to cover every inch of himself in it 🙃.

We are sometimes joined at Bothwell Castle by Dougal the Bearded Collie who loves a chase - and Cosmo, Bella, Bruce, Charlie and Baxter are always happy to oblige 🐾.

Looking forward to doing it all again next week 😀

We have welcomed 2 new dogs over the last few weeks.

Lovely Max has joined the Monday & Wednesday am walks and Tuesday & Thursday pm walks. At 13 he's a mature boy - though he obviously didn't get the memo as he's been having great fun keeping up with his new friends - especially Cavalier Max 🐾

Clover has joined both walks on a Wednesday and like Max, became fast friends with everyone. She loves being out exploring and playing chase with anyone who is up for it!

We've had a lovely - and busy - week this week. Lots of bright skies and not too much rain which is always welcome.

Handsome Hank the black lab had his first walk with us on Monday and had a great time - he was an instant hit and got on great with everyone. It's safe to say he was worn out as he slept all the way home 😴.

Tried to get a few individual photos - as always, I have to take what I get as my subject matter has a habit of doing their own thing 🤣🐾🙃.

Will do it all again Monday & Tuesday next week before I finish for holiday 😎🌞

It's been a bit of a family affair at Happy Hounds this week. I've been walking the lovely Lochy & Lomond while they were staying with their gran - who is also Loki and Cosmo's gran 🐾. You can imagine the fun that was had on Monday afternoon when they were all out together!! They're lovely big boys who definitely enjoyed exploring and interacting with the other dogs.
Baxter took a particular shine to Lochy 🙄🤣

We have been quite lucky with just one rainy day this week but it's definitely dropped a few degrees.

I decided to try and get some nice group photos on some of my walks this week. I've absolutely no idea what I was thinking - trying to get everyone in the picture proved impossible, they were all looking in different directions and some wandered off at the crucial moment. I finally took what I thought was the perfect picture only to look at it and see that one of them was having a wee 🙄🙃😀. Bearing all this in mind, the theme of this week's photos is "it is what it is"!!!

The local dog groomers have obviously been busy as we have no less than 6 dogs sporting new do's this week. All looking very dapper I must say.

The weather has actually behaved not too badly - though we have had a few chilly morning walks.

Big Cooper is back out to play this week and we were all delighted to see him. Travis was back from his holidays and celebrated by rolling in 🦊💩 (lovely). Wee Wilbur was loving the sunshine and the wind blowing through his hair, the rest are just loving life as always.

Looking forward to doing it all again next week 🐾

It's been feeling rather autumnal these last few weeks - and we've had rain of Biblical proportions at times. However, we just carry on regardless and don't let it affect us 🐕🐾

Lovely Meg had her last walk with us last Monday. She was a lovely lady who seemed to really enjoy her walks whilst on her holidays with Bono's family. Talking of Bono, he is loving the wet weather as all his favourite puddles are full to the brim 💦. Poor Wilbur and Willow were a bit under the weather this week but will look forward to seeing them both next week. For everyone else it was business as usual with their buddies.

I've been trying to get a few close up photos and if I say so myself, what a beautiful bunch they are. 😍🐾
