A few highlights from the last few weeks. The weather is what it is - I've given up even trying to anticipate what we might get 🌧🌤☔️🌩🌞

Got a few nice close ups and even got some in the sunshine at Larkhall. It's very dark at Bothwell Castle woods at the moment but it provides shelter from the rain and shade from the sun - on the odd occasion it is out 🌞🤣.

Praying for some nice weather for next week - desperate to get them in for a swim 🙏

A very sad day at Happy Hounds as our beautiful Skye had to be put to sleep yesterday. It came as such a shock - the last photograph is of Skye on Wednesday enjoying her walk with her buddies.

Skye and her sister Kandie joined us in September 2014. She was a feisty little lady who loved being out, kept everyone in their place and always loved meeting other dogs. Her and Baxter were partners in crime from day one - and regularly went searching for fox 💩 to roll in just to keep me on my toes!

Although she was almost 14 she was as bright and bold as ever and was always delighted to see us all.

I feel Mac deserves his own post this week. He never fails to make me laugh. He's a total kleptomaniac whose face lights up like a Christmas Tree every time he sees me with a new hat on 🤣🐾.

As well as all my hats, he's also partial to a chew at my glasses - and case, gloves, reindeer antlers and even poo bags 🙃. To be fair, he doesn't steal everything, he's quite good at sourcing things too. So far we've had a tent, sleeping bag, handbag (🙃), dummy tit, glove, various balls and frizbees and today he topped it off with a cycling helmet ⛑️🤣🐾.

He's such a gentle and fun loving boy - and our walks would definitely not be the same without him 💙

After a lovely and relaxing holiday myself and Baxter were raring to go on Monday - as you will see from his choice of toy he is also a bit confused by what season we are currently in 🙃🤣

I got such a lovely welcome from all my buddies who were delighted to be back out. Travis was on holiday this week so looking forward to seeing him next week.

We actually got some lovely weather and not too much rain - more of the same next week would be appreciated by us all, Baxter, Bono, Buster, Cosmo and Max in particular are desperate to get swimming 🏊‍♂️

Looking forward to doing it all again next week 🐾🐶🌞

It's been another week of mixed weather - you honestly can't predict it, just take what you get 🌧🌤🌞🔥🥶

Poor Mac was on restricted duties this week as he had a bit of a strain, he didn't seem too upset to be on his lead though - and Travis kept checking in with him 🐾. Wee Millie was obviously fed up of the rain and took shelter under a bush at one point. Thankfully towards the end of the week we saw the sun - unfortunately wee Ozzy also saw some badger 💩 he couldn't resist a roll in. He wasn't quite as excited to see the mud daddy to clean him after the walk 🤣🚿.

It was a week of mostly close up photos - and don't they all look adorable? 🐶.

Just a quick reminder I'm only walking Monday and Tuesday next week.

A polite reminder that I will be working Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th next week and then I'm on holiday - returning on Monday 17th June.

A bit of a mixed affair weatherwise this week 🌤🌧

Wee Cooper was poorly last week so had to stay home - we were all glad to have him back out this week and he was delighted to see all his buddies.

They've loved running mad this week with the cooler weather and the wet grass has kept them cool on the warmer days. I have to give a special mention to Buster - a few months on from his operation to remove his eye and it hasn't held him back one bit, he's an absolute trooper.

Also would like to mention, given the time of year and the fact that the grass is growing by the minute, please remember to check your dogs for ticks. Even if they have had treatment to prevent ticks it's worth checking as it doesn't prevent them from attaching. If I see any I will remove them or if you find any and aren't confident in removing them just let me know.

We've been lucky with the weather for the last few weeks. The odd shower here and there but we are in Scotland 😂

I changed phones last week so a few photos aren't the best whilst I'm navigating the new camera settings.

Lots of close ups, bouncing in the long grass, chasing and queuing up for treats - of course 🐾.

Looking forward to doing it all again next week 🌞🐶

We enjoyed some lovely weather this week 🌞🌞🐾

Lots of tongues on display, swimming for the water babies and plenty of sniffing and chasing going on. Safe to say everyone was happy to see the back of the rain for a good few days.

Tried to get some individual pictures in the flowers - some worked out better than others 🙃

Looking forward to more shenanigans next week 🐾

This beautiful weather doesn't come without its challenges- if anyone's dog is sporting yellow legs (as modelled by Buster) this week, dont panic, they've been running through a field full of dandelions 🙄😆🌼

We have actually seen some sunshine this week - and we've been promised more next week 🌞🌞🙏🙏.

Loki had his first walk on the long line and did brilliantly. Ozzy has been having the time of his life - I think his photos speak for themselves. Wee Cooper was delighted to be back after a weeks holiday, big Cooper was equally delighted to be back out after the school holidays and everyone else was happy in general 😀 🐾.

The end of another week in the lovely Scottish weather 🙃😁.

The Bluebells are out, the dogs were all filthy and George and I are beginning to wish we had been born with gills 🐟🐟.

Travis was back from a few weeks holiday, Max and Cosmo were making us dizzy chasing each other around a tree, after a few weeks Loki has settled really well and loves his new found friends, Ozzy and Wilbur were hussling Travis to try and get his Frisbee and Mac was trying his best to steal my hat.

A few days off and the fun begins again on Monday- hopefully with some sunshine 🙏

It hasn't been the best week for weather but we're used to it now 🙃.

Mac found a new toy on his first walk of the week, Wilbur had an extra walk on Monday and met Loki for the first time - they hit it off big time. Apologies there are a few dogs missing but it was so cold and wet on some of the walks to attempt photos.

Oh and it's just as well I'm thick skinned as everyone seemed to be sticking their tongue out at me 😂

We've had lots of fun and games this last 2 weeks. The weather has been a bit questionable but we're used to that 🌤🌧☔️

Wee Max was back from his holiday and we were all delighted to see him. Big Cooper got an unexpected outing with his pals on Monday, Loki is loving all of his new buddies and has really enjoyed his walks so far and it was business as usual for everyone else!

Looking forward to another fun filled week next week 🐾

It really felt like spring had sprung this week 🌻🌸🐦🐦‍⬛(if you don't include today's ice cold wind 🙃)

We've all had great fun in the sunshine. Loki met more new friends this week and had a great time. Wee Cooper is loving being on a long line as it gives him more freedom to sniff everything he sees! Ozzy, Wilbur and Travis were all very interested in a pile of sheep 💩 but thankfully I managed to distract them with treats before any of them had a chance to roll 😀. Buster had a sore paw last week but was raring to get going again this week - and made up for lost time 🐾.

A big Happy Hounds welcome to lovely Loki who enjoyed his first group walk this afternoon.

I took him out previously to get him used to myself and Baxter before todays walk and he's taken everything completely in his stride.

Loki is now the 4th Cavapoo in the gang along with Baxter, Charlie and Tilly.

We are all looking forward to sharing plenty of adventures with you Loki 🐾🐶

It's been a week of highs and lows - and pretty much the same with the weather. We've had some sunny days and some pretty grim ones but this lovely lot still love being out rain or shine (thankfully!!).

Cosmo had a great time on his birthday and even managed to go home clean after his Thursday walk. Bonnie and big Cooper took to the fallen trees for a bit of a pose, Wilbur and Willow enjoyed extra walks and everyone else just enjoyed business as usual with their buddies.

It's a dogs life right enough 🐾🐶😀

Some happy news today as our gorgeous Cosmo celebrated his 5th birthday with all his buddies. He was looking very dapper in his birthday bandana (I won't mention what it looked like after the walk 😬)

Cosmo is such a happy boy - everyone loves him. All the boys have enjoyed a game of chase with Cosmo at some point and I would have to say of all Bella's suitors, Cosmo is definitely her favourite 😍

It's a very sad day at Happy Hounds as we learnt that beautiful Kandie passed away this afternoon.

Kandie first started walking with us back in September 2014 with her sister Skye. A typical lab, she loved swimming, mucky puddles, balls and food!! She still holds the record for the dog who has collected the most items on a walk - 2 sticks, 3 balls and a trainer (😬) all in her mouth at the same time. She was a playful and sweet natured girl who loved life in general.

Although Kandie was almost 15 years old, she continued on her walks until summer 2022 and thankfully I still got to see her 3 days a week when collecting her sister.

We will miss you Kandie, it was a pleasure to have been part of your life 🐾❤️

We've had pretty much everything this week - snow, frost, wind, rain and I'm sure we saw the sun at one point. Everyone had great fun as always.

A special mention has to go to our Buster. Only 2 weeks after his operation to have an eye removed he was back out with us last week as if nothing had changed. He's an absolute star.

Looking forward to doing it all again next week - and seeing big Cooper who is back out to play on Thursday 🐶

It's been a week of wet and windy walks in our wellies- though thankfully the sun did shine for a few walks ☔️🌧🐾

I'm delighted to report that Buster has recovered from his operation and will be back out enjoying some walks with his pals next week.

We have had great fun this last few weeks taking special photos of all your lovely dogs. I may be biased, but aren't they just the cutest little herd of reindeer you ever did see?! 🦌🐶❤️

We took part too - with some improvisation as George prefers to remain a bit of an enigma 🤣

Wee Tilly has been poorly so she didn't take part - she still looks as cute as ever though. And I think it's safe to say we won't be using the same props next year - see last photo.

That's the leads (and apron) hung up for 2023 and I would like to wish all of my customers a Merry Christmas, Best Wishes for 2024 and to say a huge thank you for all of my lovely gifts.

Walks will resume on Wednesday 3rd January 2024
