"Meet Africano 🇪🇸 PRE – a heartwarming journey 📖 Remember the times I shared about this amazing horse during our training days? While it's been a while since I last updated, I owe a big shoutout to Africano for introducing me to my incredible English family Anne Lee. They've stood by me through thick and thin, offering unwavering support during my toughest moments in the UK 🇬🇧 . Dealing with horses is like embracing different puzzles 🧩 all of them are different and Africano 🐎 was quite the challenge. His intentions were pure, but his nerves and stress levels made things a tad tricky and could be very dangerous. When I first encountered him, catching him in the field was like playing hide and seek, mounting felt like a mission impossible, and once manage to mount, controlling him was a whole new level of adventure. Stress would send him into a piaffing frenzy for a solid 20 minutes or more 😱 Some suggested to PTS him, others branded him dangerous or untrainable, and one pro rider even had a laugh at my expense a couple of times in front of other people and shouted at me to PTS. (Until she saw me riding him with a rope halter 🪢), we'd prove them all wrong and take the reins! ⏰ Anne, you're a star! She never threw in the towel and put in relentless effort to keep Africano's training going. Time worked its magic 💫 When Africano returned home with her, he wasn't perfect, but he was finally rideable and ready for some normal training. I had a few rides with him, we hacked out, and I had some lessons with Anne. 🇪🇸 Fast forward, I jetted off to Spain for a 5-month winter break. Honestly, I was worried about how Africano and Anne would fare in my absence. Yet, Anne's updates kept my spirits high, and by the time I got back, I hopped right on him and saw the progress they'd made. Lusitano Horse Progress Update

Over the moon 🌙 with the progress of this horse 🐴 ⭐️ As promise….video update on the progress one week after the videos in the previous post. And riding him just with the rope halter 🪢🪢😉 📢 there are things to improve, many!! But many more and more important the ones that have been improved. Very proud on his progress. He is still a bit tense but considering that I’m riding him in an open space in the middle of the village where there are people, dogs, vehicles passing, even a neighbour playing an instrument 🎷 🤣. What else can I ask him? 🤷🏼‍♂️ he’s trying hard. Persistence 💪 , lots of passion 😍and more thinking 💭 . When friends tell you to get rid of him, the vet suggest the same and even your wife that has seen me with lots of horses thinks this won’t get right…..there you are!! 🐴Milo Progress Update 📣 I would like to share some videos of last Friday riding Milo for his owners to see the progress. I’m very glad of how he is progressing on his training and the owners feedback couldn’t be better and only the people there know the feelings we all had ☺️. It’s obvious that there are mistakes from both (me and Milo) but considering where we come from with this horse, all the hands he is been under, the period that I’ve had him in training and the great effort that Milo’s owners have done for years to get to this point, we can’t be any happier 🥳. For the ones that don’t remember his story, I leave here the link: https://fb.watch/gDW7hTh0pi/ I’m starting to get all his energy under control at trot with more steady rhythm. We have started the lateral work as shoulders in, half pass, leg yield, travers and renvers. However, for me when I train any horse, more than each specific exercise (as you can teach them to any horse in one way or another), it’s their mental stability what I pay a lot of attention as it’s what will allow them to have consistency in their work. Milo is starting to get a lot more relaxed in his body but specially in his mouth and trusting me more to take him anywhere and not having sharp reactions out of nowhere. For a good progress with any horse, there are no shortcuts, the only route is skills/tools🧰, work/perseverance💪 and time⏰. 🐴Blair handover 🫴😊 On Saturday, Blair was collected to go back home. He’s been with me 4 weeks (2.5 weeks in training and 1.5 week in lessons with the owner) When he first came, Blair had ❌ poor ground manners, was ❌ spooky and tense and was ❌ fighting the bit constantly. Her owner wasn’t confident enough to ❌ canter him. When the owner visited me she was thinking that the problems could come from 20 million different things that the “yard experts” and friends with the best intentions had told her. From what she told me, I was confident it was lack of training and not understanding what he’s been asked. 📹 Here the results 👇👇, ulcers, lameness and other problems have disappeared 😊 ✅ ground manners ✅ spooky and tense ✅ bit contact ✅ canter (even loose) Note: If someone was expecting more progress, I have never done magic and never promised it. I know that in the Amazon world of “next day delivery” many are seeking this progress but the “The times of people are not the times of horses”. 🐴 Billy warmblood Yesterday, I said goodbye 👋 to Billy 🐴 after 2 weeks with me. Billy had already a “good reputation” and was bought with the warning of his very bad ground manners and explosive reactions in competition and these only got worse. 🙈 Before, Billy was constantly in alert mode with his head up 🚨 ⚠️ and not able to show his true potential.
