Typical Silky 😅

18/06/2025

Wildrose Silver Bucks aka Silky is a two year old registered TWH filly by Wildrose Jove’s Bojangles and out of Bucks Crown Ruby.
Silky is a typical Bojangles’ offspring. Easy going and connects with you right away.
Silky went through our young horse training program like a champ. She is very nice to work with, always regularly trimmed and dewormed.
Silky catches you in the pasture, she is brave and curious, done some obstacles, got ponied, stands tied, loads, so she is set up to make someone a great trail horse or maybe future broodmare. Silky’s rare colour is Silver Buckskin.
Both parents are great versatile saddle horses. All of Silky’s half siblings were easy to start under saddle and in harness. The type of horse some call born broke. You saddle them up and they walk out with no worry in the world.
Silky stands taller than we would like to keep in our string. She is currently 15.1 hh at the age of 2(sire 14.2hh and dam 15.1). Her cool “Andalusian look” with her wavy mane makes her stand out in the crowed.
We lowered what we were asking for her because we would like to downsize more.
If you are interested in Silky, shoot us a PM.

When you are downsizing you have to let some go you didn’t want to part with and just think of the horse. Followed by shared moments filled with smiles and stories that are made with the horses you trained.
In the back of our minds we know if the right person comes along we actually part with some of our “keepers”. We did in the past.
Sadee found her person. It was so nice to see Shirley’s smile when she rode off on Sadee. Sometimes you just can tell.
We miss you Sadee! Sweet soul! But at the same time we know you won the Jackpot horse home. Enjoy your Sadee, Shirley!

Long overdue to share this:
The most know our entertaining and funny Australian Ranch Hand.
A while back I won a photo contest from the Canadian Walking Horse Association and I won the most precious prize. The very talented artist Windi Scott painted our Australian Ranch Hand. I can’t put it in words how much we appreciate and love the painting of our dog ❤️
Thank you so much Windi for taking the time and love to create this gorgeous piece of art!
Thanks to Dale for the perfect fitting barn wood frame!

Smarts and beauty ❤️

Pancho is Herby’s shorter and younger full brother. A really cool dude with a funny and curious personality!
Pancho is a keeper. We have high hopes for this guy!

Meet “Patches” and “Floki”
We have to admit we got caught in the webs of the horse math again. Lol
We sold a few and now bought a couple.

Our thought: Breeding horses is thinking generations ahead!
We are always on the hunt of the best gait paired with a solid build and a fun to be around charakter. Smart and willing! Easy to work with!

We breed gaited trail horses, mostly Tennessee Walkers, so the gait has to be comfortable with lots of natural four beat rhythm for those long days in the saddle.
Not too big strided or too swingy that your hip boogies like it is dancing a lambada. When you hop on your gaited trail horse and speed it up it should feel like oh “yeah, that feels nice and is fun to ride!” “I could ride that all day!”

These two youngsters look very promising to fit right into our string. They show a very nice walk, trot and canter and gait in Liberty.
A big Thanks to JoAnne and Don from McDonald Farms , Pouce Coupe, BC for breeding such a high quality Tennessee Walking horses. Hats off to you!

Finally we are getting some rain up here. We desperately need it.
I always was curious how Kitkat would feel under saddle. Yesterday I put a first ride on the little Chocolate Walker mare. Oh yeah! Nice little horse! Mine 🥰
