An important part to be a nice riding horse is to stand quiet and patient while getting mounted. The mounting block should be a sweet spot for your horse.
Gen is coming along well in her training. She is going to make someone a great trail horse. She will be available next year.

Singlefooter gelding Gr**go is a long yearling. His grandsire on the mother side is the legendary Singelfooting Horse Rowdy Rawhide. Gr**go is available.
Friendly, easy to catch anywhere, not herd bound and is a confident young guy, knows all the ABC what you should know in his age.
His dam is our steady Edda horse Mizzy , brains, smooth, true four beat gait from slow to really fast, 15.2 hh and stocky built. Mizzy takes a number 2 shoe. She can flat walk and run walk like a Walker, trots, foxtrots and has one of the most beautiful and steady racking gait and on top of that she lopes nice and slow.
Gr**go’s sire is our TWH stallion Kentucky Hummer. Bred for gait, no pace. Kentucky Hummer produces brave and smooth offsprings with a very comfortable walk perfect for the trails.
Gr**go should make a really neat saddle horse like his half siblings.

This handsome young fella is Wildrose Kentucky Chief , coming three years old. He is a super friendly and curious TWH gelding and hopefully he will make one of Terry’s future saddle horses.

Look how calm and patient they all stand. One of the nicknames for our dog is „paw patrol“. Who met our dog knows how much energy she got and that she is always „helpful“. She watches me while I train horses and picked up that I don’t care about pawing horses. If a horse gets frustrated, bored, or some are just very busy bodies then they like to paw. We handle our horses from young on but still they have to learn to be patient and relaxed. Some horses are smart and know when you are distracted or you’re out of sight and then they start pawing. I normally either put them to work and teach them a lesson that the sweet spot is being tied up or sometimes a „hey, quit that“ is enough. Now with the paw patrol around, I can step out of the barn and have a coffee. Our dog will watch the horses and if one paws it gets a little poke first to remind the pawing horse that THAT is not allowed. If the horse doesn’t take the dog serious she ups her game and makes sure they listen. If none of the horses paws the dog lays and minds her own business and maybe chews on a piece of hoof. I sure love our paw patrol. Handy little „helper“ 😀

The third one of our newcomer trio is Kentucky Ragtime aka Raider.
Beautiful looking c**t, soon to be gelded. Raider is well gaited like all the Kentucky Hummer offsprings.
Nice slow canter on this young fella.

The second horse of our 3“Newcomers” is not new to us. Wild Rose Kentucky Lola is a very sweet young mare by Kentucky Hummer.
After some training she will be available.
Pictures of her first time being saddle up. Lola is out of Pals Silver Moonglow aka Smarty and is a half sister to Juke,Snickers and Sweet Marie. It seems that all of Smarty’s offsprings are brave, willing and have right from the start a nice forward.

Snickers
For me Snickers is the complete package. We almost sold her to our friends in Oregon but decided to keep her and never regretted our decision. She is the one you hop on and each time you have fun! Willing, well gaited, easy going and loves to be with you. A typical offspring by Wildrose Jove’s Bojangles!
Nice easy going forward moving mare with a very comfortable flat walk, lope and a nice fluent saddle rack.
She shows what we like to see from our breeding and riding stock, walk, trot and canter in Liberty. No pace!
Snickers is an A student, the pretty blond likes to please. Very soft on the feel. Love her !

Wildrose Kentucky Pete found a new home. Congratulations to Tammy ! We are happy for Pete to have found such a great home.
Pete is very close related to Herby and should make a heck of a riding horse in the future.
Pete’s dam HiHeels is one of the smoothest Walkers I have ever ridden and his dad Kentucky Hummer speaks for himself. Never seen Pete take a pacey step.
He is a beautiful mover!

Wildrose Kentucky Herby is the tallest horse we own at the moment. 16.1 hh , 4 years old and thick for a Walker.
Herby will come available in the spring. He is one of the best gaited horses I started under saddle and I trained many.
True gait, wide range of four beat gait that means slow and fast. Flat walks, run walks, saddle racks, singlefoots, he can even foxtrot, smooth, smooth and slick transitions between the gaits, slow beautiful canter and the balance and feel to him is incredible.
No, Herby won’t be cheap! There are not too many gaited horses that are as talented as Herby!
Herby walks, trots and canters in Liberty and under saddle and would do great in gaited dressage or working equitation. He is very well balanced and sure-footed.
If he would be shorter he would be a keeper.
Heritage eligible.
His sire: Kentucky Hummer
His dam: Intrigue’s Elegant Sparkle (by Slush Creek Jubal S. and Mist My Chance)

I sure like this little bay filly. Wildrose Kentucky Rosie has a funny curious personality like her mom Wildrose Jove’s Maggy May(pictured behind her). Normally Rosie is right with you and it’s hard to take a picture but in this moment I got lucky. Our dog found a plastic bag and was running around like crazy.
Big thanks to the Australian Ranch Hand for always “being helpful”. lol

I love them when they come ranchy like that. Long mane, thick built…..Wild Rose Sweet Marie is getting her first rides on. Gorgeous young TWH mare by Wildrose Jove’s Bojangles and out of Pals Silver Moonglow.
I love the confidence of her. She stepped right out under saddle. No stickiness, no worries…just moves loose and nicely forward. Sweet Marie wants to please, light in the feel and willing. What a fun mare to work with! **tstarting

Second time on Wildrose Kentucky Blondie. She is by Kentucky Hummer and out of Martin’s Maugray Glory aka Velvet. Quiet, brave and sweet. You have to like those Blondes. lol
No worries and so relaxed about new stuff. You rock Blondie!!! 🥰
