Buddy Dog - The Brave Rescue Staffy! Rescued from certain death, with love and care this brave little dog survived. This is my best friend Buddy.

I found buddy abandoned and locked in a cage. Buddy was laying in his own mess and was extremely under weight., he weighed just 3 kgs. Buddy had a serious skin condition called dermodectic mange and due to him not being treated and also being left in his own mess he also had secondary infections in his skin. Buddy's paw pads were raw due to the amount of urine he had been left in. I drove him 86 m

iles to my vets checking that Buddy was alive constantly along the way as i wasn't sure he was going to make it. The vet thought that Buddy had no chance of survival but I wanted to try.....
After lots of love and care and lots of vet visits my little boy pulled through. Buddy's skin will never fully recover due to so much neglect but with a special diet, Advocate and coatex shampoo we can manage, he now weighs 18kgs and is my best friend, he loves everyone and everything. People and animals are his best friends. A lot of people say how lucky Buddy dog is that I found him but really I think I am the lucky one as I found my best friend that day. Buddy's favourite things are cuddling up on the sofa, playing frisbee, walking with some of his favourite 4 legged friends and going for outings in the car (I'm convinced his love of the car comes from the very first day I took him from that horrible place, The car was his transport to a pain free life). I am determined to give Buddy the best life possible to make up for all the pain and neglect he suffered. He has climbed 2 of the 3 highest mountains in England, he enjoys his holidays at the seaside with friends both 2 legged and 4. We are off to Norfolk this year with 11 of his 4 legged friends x Buddy holds no grudges against people even though a person was to blame for all of his pain. He is a happy chap and smiles everyday. Buddy is a social little boy and loves life. He is so in tune with people and even knew when my grans sugars were low and would make a fuss till she had taken her medication . Buddy knows when people are upset and will try to comfort them. I can not tell you how much I love my little boy # #

Yesterday me, Toby and Hazel headed over to Melton for a fun dog show, we met Tracey, Fay, Mouse and Skye there. A bit on the chilly side but a really lovely show ❤️ Hazel’s placings were -
4th Happiest Dog
3rd in Pair (with a beautiful dachshund Rosie)
3rd in non Melton resident
2nd in cross breed
1st in Rescue and Best Friend with Toby ❤️
Best on Show!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We are so proud 😁😁
Ludo really missed Hazel and couldn’t wait to give her a cuddle 🥰

Well done on everyone’s placings who entered the show ❤️ a lovely few hours all for charity ❤️

Please keep all of your furry friends safe tonight. So many suffer on bonfire night and the weeks before and after as fireworks 🎆 seem to go on for weeks! Stay safe ❤️ we have a frightened girly 😞😭

UPDATE - Good morning, I don’t know if any of our lovely friends could offer any advice. Hazel is absolutely petrified of the fireworks 🎆 it so heartbreaking to see her so frightened. This is our first November with her and last night was the first night with fireworks going off close to home and I know this weekend is going to be alot worse. Any tips and advice to help our sweet girl would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ❤️
We have been giving her scullcap and valerian, she has a thunder shirt, uses her crate to hide and we put the TV on loud, anymore suggestions would be wonderful Xx

Today I visited Osmotherley Church, there was a tree of remembrance, so of course our boys name was added ❤️ miss and love you always my friend, my sunshine, my rainbow ❤️

Yesterday me, T and Hazel went to Yew Tree K9 Society’s indoor dog show, Hazel was very frightened at first but settled with her lovely friends Skye and Vespa (we got to meet Vespa for the first time 😍) Hazel won lots of beautiful rosettes and came 1st in Pretry Bitch and 1st in Rescue then went on to be Reserve BIS!!!❤️

T took Skye in the Best Friend class and Junior Handler and came 4th in both ❤️ Skye is so beautiful and has such a kind soul, she is so good with T ❤️ thank you Fay for letting T show Skye ❤️

A week last Sunday Ludo and I met friends at a charity dog show. We had a wonderful time with friends and yummy sausage sandwiches! Ludo came 1st is dog with a disability, 2nd in handsome dog and 4th in my best friend with Toby.

Ludo went on to win BIS!!!

Ludo also won a beautiful memorial trophy in memory of a lovely lady who recently passed away. The class was judged by her husband and there were tears all round. I will treasure the trophy and display it in your honour. RIP and please know that your family love you and are doing you proud 💔

Susie Sausage seems to be doing well on her new medication. Thank you all for your well wishes ❤️❤️

Susie went to see Auntie Harriet today as her back legs are getting worse. Due to Susie auto immune disease and pancreatitis, we have to be very careful treating Susie. Medication is tricky too, we have started Susie on some pain relief which we will review in two weeks. ❤️

Susie had another swim today, but this time in a lovely heated pool with the Fuzzy Hounds and Toby instead of a stinky muddy swamp! They all had a great time ❤️
