Ayer alguien pensaba que era buen idea de atar estos TRES perros al entrada de CANTALOBOS - Almuñécar.

🎥Tenemos los hechos grabados en vídeo, pero queremos preguntar la ayuda cuidando para saber que ha pasado exactamente.
Nigun tiene chip, obviamente. Parecen bien cuidados. No sabemos si el dueño los está buscando o si es el mismo que los han abandonado tan cobardemente.

Yesterday someone thought it was a good idea to tie these THREE dogs at the entrance to CANTALOBOS - Almuñécar.

🎥We have the events recorded on video, but we want to ask for help to find out exactly what happened.
None of them have a chip, obviously. They seem well cared for. We don't know if the owner is looking for them or if it is himself one who has abandoned them so cowardly.

Hoy nos despedimos de 4 de los 10 cachorros de Mastin, que estaban “en venta” delante del Supermercado de Salobreña.
Se van a Valencia, y sus hermanos mañana van a una acogida de Mastin Matters.
3 semanas de mimos y recogida de cacas, para que estos peques tengan una nueva oportunidad de ser adoptados por familias responsables. Y no se sumen a los “guardianes de cortijos” del pueblo.

Today we say goodbye to 4 of the 10 Mastin puppies, that were “on sale” in front of the Supermarket in Salobrena.
They will go to Valencia, and their siblings go to a foster of Mastin Matters tomorrow.
3 weeks of cuddles & poo scooping, so that these little ones have a new opportunity to be adopted with responsable families. And don’t add to the “cortijo guardians” from around town.

Also, Willow our beautiful deaf puppy found her home in Belgium, thanks to Saskia van Huijgevoort and Stichting Rubia.
Thanks to her fosterers in Spain, she is a sweet, balanced pup, who can live and learn as a normal dog.

Además, Willow, nuestra preciosa cachorrita sorda, encontró su hogar en Bélgica gracias a Saskia van Huijgevoort y Stichting Rubia.
Gracias a sus acogidas en España, es una cachorrita dulce y equilibrada, que puede vivir y aprender como un perro normal.

Este fin de semana 2 de nuestros perros Purpurina & Kelce han ido a sus adoptantes en Alemania, gracias a l’asociacion Katolino e.V.
Y ya se ve que van estar muy felices 💖💙.

This weekend 2 of our dogs Purpurina & Kelce have gone to their adopters in Germany, thanks to the Katolino e.V. association.

💛💛 Hoy, finalmente hemos podido poner 5 terrazas de hormigón en 5 patios donde ahora viven perros en permanencia.
Muchos gracias a Doug Wilson, su amigo Richard, y nuestros voluntarios Oliver y Moritz, que han puesto el hormigón.
Y gracias a los gente que han hecho las donaciones después la DANA, que con este dinerhemos podido hacer que los perturben una zona seca.
Luego vamos construir casitas encima, que los guardan del lluvia, fría y sol en verano.

💛💛 Today, we have finally been able to put 5 concrete terraces in 5 yards where dogs now live permanently.
Many thanks to Doug Wilson, his friend Richard, and our volunteers Oliver and Moritz, who have put the concrete.
And thanks to the people who have made the donations after DANA, with this money we have been able to make a dry area for them.
Then we will build little houses on top, which will protect them from the rain, cold and sun in summer.

Today a wonderful pillar of Spanish dog rescue has left us. Pat Waterhouse saved so many mastins and other (big) dogs and fought for any injustices.
You deserve a good rest now Pat, and then a long walk with all of he dogs that are already waiting for you up there.

Esta foto no es bonita, pero los 3 que aparecen en ella sí lo son... Roberta, nuestra abuela, ayer esterilizada y descubrió que tenía una hernia bastante grande, por lo que necesita una cirugía mayor. Y 2 cachorros aterrorizados, que fueron capturados en un acerqueria hace 3 días. Se están consolando y aceptando mutuamente tal como son.
Estoy segura de que en 2025 comenzarán a jugar juntos y aprenderán que las personas no están tan malos (bueno, la mayoría no lo son).

This picture is not beautiful, but the 3 in it are… Roberta, our old granny, yesterday sterilized and discovered she had a biggish hernia, so mayor surgery. And 2 scared puppers, who were captured in the wild 3 days ago - they are comforting eachother, and acccepting one another just as they are.
I’m sure in 2025 they will start to play together and learn that people are not so scary (well most of them aren’t)

Parece cruce de mastín, quizás con Rottweiler o pastor alemán. Demasiado bueno 😭😭😭.

😡😡 And another dog, that nobody is looking for, but that surely has been living well at home, until they abandoned it. Found in Almuñécar.
It seems to be a cross between a Mastin, perhaps with a Rottweiler or a German shepherd. A sweet boy 😭😭😭.

2024 ha sido un año triste, difícil y duro.
Pero esta noche queremos centrarnos en el buen rollo, en la gente que vino a ayudarnos, en los voluntarios que dedican sus vacaciones o tiempo libre a los perros, en las acogidas, en las asociaciones que encuentran hogares para los perros en el extranjero y en España, y en las sonrisas de nuestros perros.
Aún tenemos un futuro incierto, necesitamos reducir sustancialmente el número de perros, y necesitaremos mucho apoyo...
Feliz Navidad a todos GUUUAW

2024 has been a sad, difficult and tough year.
But tonight we want to focus on the good vibes, the people that came to help us, the volunteers that dedicate their holidays or free time to the dogs, the foster-homes, the associations that find homes for the dogs abroad and in Spain, and the smiles of our dogs.
We still have an uncertain future, need to lower the number of dogs substantially, and will a lot support...

Ayer este perro cruce de labrador fue encontrado en San Antonio / La Heradura. Es muy bueno, teñía un collar nuevo puesto, pero lo más importante carece: NO MICROCHIP. Entonces este guapetón va pasar navidad en un frío chenil en Cantalobos, si no encontramos al dueño. Por favor, comparte.

Yesterday this labrador cross was found in San Antonio / La Heradura. He is a very good boy, has a new collar on him, but the most important thing he lacks: NO MICROCHIP. So this handsome guy will spend Christmas in a cold kennel in Cantalobos, if we don't find the owner. Please share.

☺️🙏☺️🙏 This post was long overdue to say thank you for an other grand donation, brought up by Annette Schönhoff from Katolino e.V. and their supporters, a lot of fleece and waterproof coats to keep our dogs warm in the kennels at Cantalobos. Especially now the weather gets colder and windy, the short coated dogs, the sick and older ones and the ones in the outside casitas benefit for these coats.
And on top of that 4 bags of natural treats.
Seeing the dogs feeling good, makes the hard times for the volunteers at the shelter, a bit more bearable.
Please, consider ADOPTING a dog from our shelter, they so need their own family.

☺️🙏☺️🙏 Esta publicación era necesaria desde hace tiempo para agradecer otra gran donación, realizada por Annette Schönhoff de Katolino e.V. y sus patrocinadores, una gran cantidad de abrigos polares e impermeables para mantener calientes a nuestros perros en las cheniles de Cantalobos. Especialmente ahora que el clima se vuelve más frío y ventoso, los perros de pelo corto, los enfermos y mayores y los que están en las casitas exteriores se benefician de estos abrigos.
Y además de esas 4 bolsas de golosinas naturales.
Ver a los perros sentirse bien hace que los tiempos difíciles para los voluntarios del refugio sean un poco más llevaderos.

💔 Hoy brilla un otro estrella en el cielo. Lunares ha cruzado el arco iris, tras un baja de unos semanas (desde cuando se ha installado en mi cocina - y corazón) hasta las últimas días cuando se notaba un importante retención de líquido en la barriga, y nuestro veterinario constata un tumor.
Ella y su hermana Lucia venían a CANTALOBOS hacia 2,5 años, tras fallimirnto de sus dueño. Nunca tenía suerte a ser adopta 😞. Espero que estos últimos semanas, o menos te has sentido querida, preciosa Luni 💖.

💔 Today another star shines in the sky. Lunares has crossed the rainbow, after a few weeks of being weak (since then she has occupied my kitchen - and heart) until the last few days when I noticed a significant fluid retention in her belly, and our vet confirmed a tumor.
She and her sister Lucia came to CANTALOBOS 2.5 years ago, after her owner passed away.She was never lucky enough to be adopted 😞. I hope that at least these last few weeks you have felt being loved, precious Luni 💖.

Dante is one of our longest residents. He came to us as a teenager. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with leishmania, and he was treated for it. Sadly the leish had already got to his eye and he lost his eyesight and became blind.. But that didn't stop Dante from being the loving, trustful and joyful boy he was🩵 He had stolen our hearts and was deeply loved by the SOS Animales family and many more. He had so much hope for finding a forever home, but sadly he never got that chance. But in reality he already had a loving home and a big family who cared and loved him, and that was the shelter, the dogs and the people/his people there❤️ Dante you were such a positive, loving, happy, trustful and such a good boy! Run free over the rainbow bridge with the other angel puppies🌈🕊️ Sleep good and peacefully our sweet boy, we will miss you 🤍❤️

What a difference a little love and care can do🐶🥰 *Remember her? Anita and 9 others adult dogs and 3 puppies was our first rescue in 2024. Anita was malnourished, dehydrated and scared..❤️‍🩹 Anita and the others was let down by that person that was supposed to take care of them and be their loving home.. This is Anita now! She has put on some weight and she has improved so much🥰 5 months ago she would not come near new people, barked in fear and was unsure of people.
