Hey Friends!!!
It’s been a very very busy few days around here….We have been working hard to get all the new pups settled, get vetting scheduled and get grooming arranged. Thankfully, almost all of our team now has power back, with a few waiting for internet to come back up, which hopefully will be soon! We hope that all of you are also doing OK with post-Milton/post-Helene recovery. Its been a very, very long few weeks and we really, really are crossing allllll of our paws that a “lull” is on the horizon.
Today was “spa day” for several of our pups. Most of the “fluffy” pups that came to us were severely matted and needed total shave downs, so they are going to be sporting some spiffy new ‘dos over the next few days. Anderson (pictured here) is very happy to be able to move freely again!
We have also started receiving some of the awesome supplies you have sent our pups through our Amazon wishlist! They will be getting distributed to our fosters this week and they are immensely helpful, so thank you so much!!
As we have worked on getting everyone settled, we are also working on who else still needs help, as a few of our partner shelters actually suffered damage to their facilities and we are working out plans to help their impacted pups, one of our very generous friends offered a matching funds donation to help us make sure we can cover all of the veterinary, grooming and boarding expenses and not have to turn pups away due to lack of funds. Starting today, every donation through Sunday, up to $10,000 will be matched! We have a week to meet the match and we are really hopeful we can do it - as it will allow our team to focus on the pups directly and less time stressing over funding (which is a huge stress). You can donate using the link right here on this post, or any of the links on our website, www.floridalittledogrescue.com. We will keep everyone updated on how the match is coming along along with a general update daily. Please, please refer to the Q&A post that we made here on our FB page for questions about adoption, fostering, when pups might be available, etc. The more time we can spend handling the pups and their needs as opposed to answering the same questions multiple times on socials is a huge help to our team:) So please, friends, if you can lend a helping paw, please please do! Thank you!!!
