Knees 4 Owen Diagnosed with Grade IV luxating patellas, Owen was rescued from the Helmetta Shelter in NJ. He's on The good news??? It's easily fixable!

Owen is an amazingly lovable cat, chirping and purring for his foster mom. Fortunately for Owen, he was rescued by Karma Cat Zen Dog from the Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter in Helmetta, NJ where he had been since July. He spent those five months with no medical care or even an examination until the NJSPCA took control of the shelter (read more about that here 9 Lives From Helmetta). As you can s

ee from the video, we knew something was wrong with Owen. Our veterinarian determined he has Grade IV luxating patellas (his kneecaps are on backwards!) which makes life very difficult for poor Owen. With your help, that is ... every dollar counts and Owen will be an even happier guy when his mobility is improved and he can find his forever home! We have a new member in our family! Meet Xander, he was abandoned at da boss lady's hospital with his two brothers. There was something about him that tugged at her heart and our doggie sister Joy is very happy to have a puppy brother. As far as us kitties, we are still getting used to him, but we think he's alright so far. 🐱❤️

So, we told you we had some news to share, and here it is... Da boss lady decided we needed a change of scenery and a little excitement. She was offered a Practice Manager job for an animal hopsital in Greenville SC, it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up. So with very little time to spare she and the daddy hooman packed us all up and we headed to our new home. The trip was long, us kitties went with da boss lady and our little hooman, while daddy hooman drove down with our doggie sister and the stuff that didn't make it on the moving truck. We've been here a week and a half so far and I'm happy to say we all love our new home! The next adventure according to da boss lady is buying a house for our forever home, but for now the place she picked for us until that happens is really nice and critter approved. 😺❤️
