What a whirlwind of a week! We cannot believe how time is flying. At the end of June we were spoiled rotten by the delicious “snack box” that was a full on magical lunch from - we provided lots of local grown flowers herbs and greens both from our farms as well as some gorgeous sweet peas from and some beautiful blue mums and red hypernicum and carnations from as we did a red white and blue themed floral arranging gathering at Tracy’s beautiful shop. We had the best of intentions to have more of the flowers come from our farms, but nature is always in charge and sometimes doesn’t cooperate with requested color themes 😂 thankfully we had a few customers who also loved our local grown blooms in pinks, purples and greens that we brought in to showcase what was blooming in this season. We had so much fun we forgot to take more photos!! Isn’t that a true sign of a lovely time?? We couldn’t help but buy some wine after some yummy tastings and we cannot wait to do it again- but if we are going to keep doing these, we need people who want to sign up!! Let us know if you want more of these in the future 🌹❤️

Don’t these flowers bring amazing energy? The smell yummy too. We hope that the attendees are wowed by what we can grow here and recognize that just having fresh flowers in the room (and mocktails made with our local grown mulberries!) is a major mood boost 😍

This super cool Bombylius captured my attention today. So photogenic and fun to watch as every time it would hover all its legs would shoot out like a starfish 😂 it loved the dusty miller blooms
Do you pause during farm chores to do mini photo shoots with the wildlife?

It’s and we had the epic honor of crafting these bouquets for a fundraiser derby party for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society- we love a Charity who is not only doing such important work, but hiring local farmer florists to help them bring their vision to life! Locally grown Dusty Miller is used in these bouquets and we supplied locally grown for those - the client loved being able to feature locally grown ingredients and was already wanting to brainstorm about utilizing more locally grown goodies for next year! ❤️ we can’t wait to see the photos from the event and we hope they raise ALL kinds of money

The smell is divine. The look is so classic. The are truly having a moment! If you need any, you know who to reach out to 😂 we grow over ten different varieties to cheer up your spring! It’s one of the few non edible flowers we grow, but there have to be exceptions when they are this lovely! Daffodils don’t like to share a vase with other flowers right off the bat. When we use them, we harvest and let them be by themselves for several hours so that their milky sap will stop running, and then do not recut the stems or it starts that sap flow again. But they are stunning in an arrangement by themselves, or if you want to add them to other flowers just make sure they “rest” first.

If you’re like us, you’re thinking “how is April only two weeks away???” 😳 This spring is springing and we have been busy trying to plant and prune and harvest but we miss our gardening, flower, and fruit tree friends! So we thought why not just host a little get together at our shop? And that got us excited. We hope you will get excited too and come hang out with us! We will use some of our products to create some mocktails and treats to share, and we will have some products available if you’ve missed that we didn’t create formal open hours this month, but mostly we just want to get to see y’all and catch up a bit. We hope you can join us- it’s free so please come and say hello. We’ll raffle off some more adorable bee habitats, have some free seeds for swapping, and who knows what else we will come up with over the next ten days!

We hope everyone enjoyed a safe and happy St Patrick’s Day! Had to shout out one of our favorite green flowers- Bells Of Ireland! Fun fact this plant is not native to Ireland at all! But we love it anyways 💚 it coordinates with everything, has a minty fragrance, is edible, and provides a stunning shape in a bouquet. Are you growing any green flowers? If so we would love to hear about them!

We were so thrilled to receive a request for two bouquets: this brilliant customer wanted one for herself and one for a birthday gift for a friend! (We love how she thinks) If you happen to need any locally grown, pesticide and herbicide free flowers for yourself or for anyone else we’d be honored to help you fulfill that need! We can usually accommodate quite quickly same day or next day so don’t be shy about last minute requests

Last month we had posted some regular open hours, but we haven’t done that yet this month. If anyone was wondering why(???)It’s because this is peak harvest season and so we are having to find the delicate balance between being in multiple places- we can’t be on the farm and in the shop at the same time! Since we grow 90% of our products, we still need to dedicate lots of time to farming. So we might be planting, harvesting, or freeze drying when we aren’t at the office. We welcome any appointment requests if you’d like to stop by and pick up a product. We can also sell you fresh flowers, fresh produce and herbs and more! So please do not hesitate to reach out and schedule a time to come and shop. We are working hard to make sure that there are more products on the way!

Hi! Happy weekend 🥰 if we haven’t met, I’m Kristin! This summer I will have been living and growing food in Arizona for twenty years! I can’t believe it. Time is amazing and crazy and intense and wonderful. Throughout those twenty years I have had a full life and no matter what chaos was happening I always came back to the garden for solace, grounding, peace, physical movement, and a place to think. I have grown many different plants during that 20 years: traditional veggies, hundreds of fruit trees, herbs, a few ornamentals, and a lot of flowers! One of the things I love the most is that I’m always learning. Another thing I love about this lifestyle is the people that I get to meet- because people who are stewards of the earth are just darn good people! Caring, kind, generous with their time and help and knowledge and some of the most awesome people you could ever hope to know. I am surrounded every day by beautiful souls and beautiful plants and I am just so humbled and honored. I am not always great about posting and sharing, and I’m still figuring out how to navigate the balance between being a weird mix of a farmer, a small business owner, a mom, a wife, and trying to squeeze time in there for being a more active member in my community. It doesn’t always go smoothly but I wouldn’t trade it for anything ❤️ if you’re still reading this: thank you. Your interactions here are appreciated. If we haven’t met in person yet I hope we will soon! And for those I have had the opportunity to know I thank you because you enrich my life. I hope that something I have done whether it’s plant advice, a class, a bouquet, a design, a snack or meal from my yard has been a blessing to you.

How did you spend your leap day? I hobbled around doing irrigation repairs, tending to seedlings, pulled a lot of weeds, and some cleaning. I definitely overdid things on my still-healing ankle. But the weather was so perfect. My son lost his second tooth, and Melissa is in Texas awaiting the imminent arrival of grandson #2! I loved getting whiffs of the blooming daffodils and hyacinth…such an intense and lovely scent. If anyone needs snapdragons or a local grown bouquet let us know because we have lots of lovely things blooming! And if anyone wants to do a little hands on gardening with us, keep your eyes ready cause we will be posting our March calendar tomorrow! Leave a comment with what you did today- plant related or not! We’d love to hear about it

A mountain of citrus zest from yesterday that smelled as good as it looks! When we use our commercial juicer; we cut the price of juicing in half if you’re willing to wait while we harvest the zest. But it’s not that long of a wait since we have a machine for that too! Our customer from yesterday kept saying the most wonderful things: “this is beautiful” or “this is so cool, you just saved me hours and hours of work” and we love hearing stuff like that! We zested and juiced 3 five gallon buckets worth of locally and organically grown Meyer lemons in just under an hour.
Today is a much needed farm day, although it will be a slow farm day. Can’t wait to get outside and take some updated photos as spring is springing around here!

We are here until 4pm today! Bee house winners, those bees are counting on you to come and get your bee houses! (The style shown also has planters so you can plant some herbs or flowers right next to the little bee houses how cute is that)
We are working “bee-hind” the scenes to put together some really exciting upcoming classes and workshops, so stay tuned! In the meantime if you’d like to do any citrus juicing, or floral workshops send us a message and we will “bee” happy to put something on our calendar for you! 🐝🐝❤️🐝🐝
