Beyond bloodlines, we believe that environmental inputs are key during the formative early days, weeks and months after birth. With that in mind, our foals are handled daily and exposed in a quiet, consistent and progressive fashion to the sights, so

unds and activities they will experience throughout their lives. Our goal is to help our youngsters develop into confident, willing partners ready to embark on their careers.

I am incredibly honored to have been elected to the American Hanoverian Society Board of Directors! Many, many thanks to everyone that voted for me! I am looking forward to doing everything I can to further the amazing Hanoverian breed, the AHS registry and it's wonderful members! Thank you again!

The Nominations Committee is proud to announced that Meg Williams and Jessica Stallings (incumbent) maintain their board seats and we welcome new board members Kate Dressel, Nat Masin and Sandy Hunt. Nat Masin and Nicole Dean were voted in to serve on the finance and nominations committees respectively. You can meet our new board members at the annual meeting Feb. 15th - 17th. The agenda and registration form can be found on hanoverian.org.

Our goal as breeders is to produce exceptional quality sport horses and to place them with people who value them highly and have the ability to help them achieve their fullest potential. You've heard of ladies who lunch? These ladies lunch, then nap! Most every sunny afternoon, 2-1/2 year old Willkommen (Wild Dance x Greetings / Gonzo I) and her 29 year old pasture buddy, Anna, can be found catching some sun and ZZZs together. They crack me up! Thankfully they are so consistent about it I only get a tiny twinge of panic when I see them flat out like that.

As Labor Day approaches, we are turning our attention to finding ideal dance partners for two spectacular 2023 c**ts. Sazerac BWS (Sanceo x Beltini / Belissimo M / Der Radetsky) and Heartbreaker BWS (E.H. Herzensdieb x Pr. Carlotta II / E.H. Kasparow / E.H. Tivano). Both have talent suitable for a pro with horse of a lifetime-type temperaments. As a breeder, we could not be prouder of these boys and want to give them every opportunity to reach their full potential. Because of this, we will only consider show homes and will offer significantly improved terms to individuals with a demonstrated ability to bring youngsters up the levels. Bittersweet day when one of your "kids" that you never thought you would part with, loads up and heads on to her new life. I could not be happier with this pairing and I can't wait to see them climb up the levels! Dreamcatcher marched right onto the trailer this morning to start this new chapter in her life with Nicole Riffe. ❤️🍾

Black Watch Stables will once again be hosting an American Hanoverian Society / American Rhineland Society inspection on Tuesday, September 26th at our farm in Danielsville, GA. All are welcome to attend, either as a spectator, volunteer or participant. For those wishing to have their foals inspected for registration, mares inspected for the mare book or futurity candidates inspected, entry forms are available to be filled out online via the AHS website. Herzens Dreamcatcher - 2020 16.2h Hanoverian mare by E.H. Herzensdieb out of E.M. Divine Dream by Don Principe. This young mare is the complete package. She is well started and very straightforward. Easy to handle, no vices and sweet to be around. She is a natural for dressage but bred to be versatile for any ring. She is a lovely and balanced mover with a fantastic canter and natural changes. She has a wonderful work ethic with a pocket-pet personality and would be well suited for an amateur. She's ready to step into a program! Price will go up with training.

This heartbreaker has an exceptional walk, elastic trot, ground covering canter and wonderful type, expression and self-carriage. We moved the mares & foals out to the big mama pasture/3-barn yesterday and I caught this snippet of Pr. Carlotta II (Kasparow) and her colt by E.H. Herzensdieb as they made their way along. I am so in love with this kiddo! Tons of presence and elasticity! I can't wait to get professional pics of him at the end of the month!

First, know that mama is just fine! Lottie was just desperate for a nap and baby boy didn't care. I missed the lead in to this clip as I didn't have my phone on me, but it started with Lottie laying down to nap and letting out moans and groans as little man jumped on her, pawed her and tried to nurse from random spots all over her body. The video below was shot when she finally said the heck with it and flopped over on her side. Little man found the milk bar and mama had some peace and quiet 😊 Truly, this mare has the patience of a saint! ♥️
