I have a tub in salon for any dog food and treat donations🐶

Any donations, no matter how small will be massively appreciated and will be sure to help a struggling family with their dog this Christmas🎄

Between now and Thursday 19th December 2024, Hudson’s Haven Dog Grooming will be accepting donations of dog food and dog treats.

These donations will be handed in to The Gate Charity prior to Christmas, to help support local families with their dogs.

Any donations, no matter how small would be massively appreciated🐶🐾

🎇Fireworks🎇

Have a wee read through the last minute tips from Dogs Trust to help any stressed out doggies cope with the fireworks tomorrow…I hope they are all ok ❤️

Don’t forget that you can tune in to Classic FM’s Pet Classics to help your doggy relax 😴

Fireworks night is now more fireworks season and whilst they might be fun for us, the loud bangs and flashing lights can be extremely distressing for dogs 😥

If you’ve not been able to prepare ahead, here are some last-minute tips to help them during fireworks themselves:

• Block out flashes and bangs. Close any windows or curtains and turn the lights on. Put on music or the TV to help disguise the noise.

• If your dog wants to hide, let them stay where they feel safe.

• If they seek reassurance, calmly give them attention and comfort. Research shows that ignoring them won’t help.

• If your dog doesn’t seem worried, then it’s best to keep them busy with their favourite toys, treats or activities so they don’t become anxious.

• Try to stay calm and relaxed yourself. Your dog will pick up on how you’re feeling, so do your best to relax.

• If your dog makes a mess by accident, avoid telling them off as this might make them feel more scared.

Today is the start of my time off with the kids, looking forward to spending some time with them😀 I will be responding to messages as normal, but I may just take a little bit longer than normal.

I would like to encourage all my regular clients who book on a schedule, to block book their appointments for these months if at all possible🙏Especially, if you have preferred days and times!

Recently, I’ve been so busy and unable to accommodate a number of appointment requests. I would prefer to be able to guarantee appointments for all your lovely doggies AND it really helps me plan ahead around holidays etc.

Beautiful Bea was in today for a bath, blow dry and really good brush out. Her coat had started getting a bit much to manage at home, so we had a really good re-set today. We removed matts and compacted hair from her coat, making it easier for mum to manage at home. Isn’t this girl an absolute beauty? ❤️

Fantastic day Thedoghousegrooming_ for a seminar ran by the ridiculously talented James Holberry; @the_northern_dog_barber 🤩 Was also great to meet Pawsitive Vibes and Groom at the Grove, thanks for the company today 🥰

Dunsmore's Dogs was established by myself Lynnemarie Dunsmore; a self confessed dog lover and avid dog owner! Dogs are and always have been a huge part of my world and I can't imagine what life would be without them.

My genuine love for dogs and my dream to work with them, was the inspiration behind the decision to turn my passion into a reality.
