While mature, fully-grown dogs often cope better than young, impressionable puppies during seemingly scary encounters with other dogs, it's not natural or enjoyable for some dogs at any age to be in social settings.

And that's OK! Looking for ways to socialize your dog? Limit interactions to dogs and people you know well enough to judge their temperment. Consider small group meetups over dog parks or group events.

And remember, socialization doesn't necessarily mean meeting other dogs or other people, it's exposing your dog -slowly and safely - to new sounds, sights, environments, and situations.

We do this without the use of ANY form of physical corrections or punishment whatsoever. Bad weather keeping you indoors? Keeping your dog mentally and physically stimulated indoors is just as important as outdoor play. Here are some fun and easy enrichment games to try:

🐾 Snuffle Mats: Hide kibble or treats in the mat, and let your pup sniff and forage to find them! This is perfect for engaging their natural instincts.

🐕 Puzzle Toys: Use interactive toys or DIY puzzles like a muffin tin with tennis balls over treats. Your pup will love the challenge!

🍴 Frozen Kong Treats: Fill a KONG or similar toy with peanut butter, yogurt, or wet food and freeze it for hours of licking fun.
