Had a good time at the AKC hunt test this past weekend. Proud of the dogs for pulling off some test passes. Lots of hours spent behind all these ribbons getting them ready for these tests. Thanks for all those that put the test on and for the UTBDT team!

If you like vizslas then you might like this picture…this is Loki and he is finishing up training and looking good on point. Got to love a pointing dog on point! They all have their unique styles and that makes it pretty cool! Hope we have a good upland hatch come fall 2023. Keeping those fingers crossed hard!

Dogs picked up some orange this past weekend in Nevada. Finished titles on a Senior and Junior dog and then had a new one run his first tests ever jumping into Senior and passed both days. Proud of these critters. These ribbons represent hundreds of hours of training and practice to get these animals to these levels. Feels good to see them do well during test season, but can’t wait for this fall’s bird season!

My friend James sent me this photo he took this past spring of me getting ready to run Sunny one of our Golden’s on a blind retrieve in a hunt test. Most my photos are mostly just of dogs, they look better in pictures anyways haha! Anyhow, thanks James for sharing, love working these critters!

Anything more classic than a black lab male with his ears up and some cattails behind him? This guy Drake is the Sire of our last litter and we like what we are seeing out of the pups so far. They are going to be go getters!

Ace locked up on pheasant in training. Brittany’s are pretty cool little dogs. Don’t take up much space and can be great little upland dogs. Some retrieve better than others, but are usually always consistent pointers.

Geese are flat out tuff. It always feels good when you stone one out of the air! Took this picture of my buddy’s retriever Dixie that we trained years ago on a recent hunt. 8 years old and still getting the job done.

Love getting pics of dogs that we trained getting out in the field and tearing it up. Jeff got a black lab from us and we just got done training her a couple months ago. She is going out on her first hunts with her owner and is doing awesome. We trained another one for him years ago and it looks like both are still going strong. Decided to go after Geese today on the opener and the plan didn’t work out. That is hunting public land! This picture pretty much sums up the morning, just waiting for the birds to come but they never showed😔. First opener that I’ve been on and never pulled the trigger, hey that’s hunting. It’s always fun to get out and see the morning sunrise in the marsh and chill with friends and of course the bird dogs. The season has just begun! Hopefully, everyone else had a great opener.

Always good to break out the shotguns for the opener and do a little dove hunting. Team UTBDT put the hurt on a few of them. Best part of course is getting the dogs a little action. Welcome fall we are ready for you!

Two weeks ago we had our first hunt test of the year. Proud to see our young dogs pull off a bunch of passes. Behind each of those ribbons is hours and hours of consistent hard work and time to develop these dogs into what they are today. If your patient, consistent and can trust a proven process your dog will get there. Grateful for the opportunity to work with so many clients great dogs! Now who is ready for fall haha?! I know I am.
