On behalf of everyone here at the Winthrop Vet Clinic we are sadden to share the passing of Dr. James McMillan. He was cherished by many in the community and he will forever be missed. With the loss of one of our family members we will be CLOSING the clinic on WEDNESDAY JULY 17TH so that we may all be able to go and pay our respects. **📢 PSA: Important Update 📢**

Due to a current veterinary labor shortage, we regret to inform you that we will be suspending our small animal services until further notice. We are doing our best to navigate this situation and accommodate our large animal clients. If you already have a small animal appointment scheduled, we will be reaching out to you if we haven't already done so.

We kindly ask that you treat our staff with respect during this time, as they are working hard to make schedules work for everyone involved.Being rude/mean to our staff is unacceptable and is a foresure way to no longer be a client! We appreciate your understanding and patience.

For small animal needs, we recommend reaching out to the many local small animal clinics in the area that should be able to accommodate your situation.

The Winthrop Vet Clinic in Winthrop, Iowa is seeking a motivated individual to join our office staff. The Winthrop Veterinary Clinic is a progressive 5 doctor practice providing full services to large animal clients in a 1 hour radius around Winthrop and provides limited companion animal services including spays/neuters and preventive health programs. Large animal services include Dairy, Beef Cow/Calf, Beef Feedlot, Swine, Sheep and Goats.
This individual will be the primary person responsible for bookkeeping in our office including paying bills, billing clients, and addressing any billing concerns from clients. Other responsibilities include customer service, answering the phone, scheduling appointments.
Position Requirements:
Must have bookkeeping experience
Experience with quick books a plus but not required
Provide exceptional customer service
Schedule appointments and prepare required forms
Collect client fees, make change, process credit card transactions
Computer and Software Proficiency, experience with cornerstone practice management software a plus but not required
Individual must be able to multitask
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Be a self- motivated individual
Ability to lift 50lbs
Schedule flexibility including working occasional Saturday half day shifts.
