OMG! OMG! OMG! 🙌 This is one of the luckiest rescues of my life!!! YESTERDAY, we got a text on the Hope For Paws line about these two homeless dogs, and we were told that one of them MAY be pregnant!
Katie and I rushed over to the rescue location. The pregnant one immediately disappeared, and we waited two hours for her return. By the time she returned, we were prepared, and it didn't take long to get her and the black and white dog (who we were told is her daughter).
As soon as I secured her, I realized that she is HOURS AWAY FROM GIVING BIRTH!!! (she is the tan one). She was starving, matted, and filthy - what a terrible position to be in, especially while pregnant. 😓
We rushed back to get both dogs cleaned up, and the whole time, I was praying she wouldn't go into labor while we were shaving or bathing her. 😨🙏
After a quick visit with the doctor, Katie took them home, and I am happy to report that contractions started 15 minutes ago - the puppies are coming!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I am so happy she didn't give birth to them TODAY in that filthy environment!!! Imagine having to give birth to multiple babies out on the street without a clean blanket, without food, and while it's so cold outside!
This year will end in 3 days, and today, your donations will be DOUBLED thanks to two generous donors!!! By joining our team, you will know that every day, you're helping us save animals from these terrible situations: https://www.HopeForPaws.org/campaigns/holiday
If you are already a Hope For Paws member - Thank you so much for being a part of our family!!! So many animals are grateful to you for giving them their happy lives. 💝
Tomorrow, I will post a new rescue video that Loreta and I filmed - it shows another dog who was shell-shocked from life on the streets, and the change in him is so beautiful to watch! 😊
Thank you so much for all your support!
