⚠️ We, at Hydor, care about all aquarists and have designed the Koralia Smart Wave for all those cases in which it becomes necessary to alternate the recirculating pumps (do you always have 2 right?) ⚠️

This is to try to recreate the movement we find on coral reefs between 4 glasses 🌊🌊🌊. It can be used with any pair of pumps that can be switched on and off in close proximity.

1️⃣ Water Quality is Crucial: Maintain excellent water quality by ensuring stable parameters. Calcium around 400 ppm. Magnesium around 1250 ppm. Kh around 8 dKH. Nitrate between 1 to 5. Phosphates between 0,05 to 0,1. Yes you can have also other values but with these you can't be wrong.

2️⃣ Proper Diet: Corals are animals, and they want and need to eat... please do it for them.

3️⃣ Enough light is mandatory. Not less than 300 PAR is minimum, 500 PAR is to shine.

4️⃣ Stable Environment: Avoid sudden changes in temperature, pH, or lighting. Use a heater and a reliable filtration system to maintain stability and reduce stress.

5️⃣ Movement, movement and movement: Have you seen the sea? Yep.

SYMPHYSODON DISCUS AKA HECKEL DISCUS

1️⃣ Water Quality is Crucial: Maintain excellent water quality by ensuring stable parameters: pH between 6.0–7.5, temperature 28–30°C (82–86°F), and low nitrate levels. Regular water changes (20–50% weekly) are essential.

2️⃣ Proper Diet: Feed a varied diet of high-quality discus pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart mix. Ensure balanced nutrition for vibrant colors and good health.

3️⃣ Spacious Tank and Companions: Discus thrive in groups of 5 or more in a tank of at least 250 liters (65 gallons). Choose peaceful tank mates like cardinal tetras or corydoras to avoid stress.

4️⃣ Stable Environment: Avoid sudden changes in temperature, pH, or lighting. Use a heater and a reliable filtration system to maintain stability and reduce stress.

5️⃣ Careful Monitoring: Regularly observe for signs of stress, illness, or aggression. Early intervention is key to preventing disease or behavioral issues in these sensitive fish.

Rotating water deflector moves the aquarium water increasing oxygenation and surface gas exchange preventing the formation of the “white line” effects. Works with most pumps or discharge tubes thanks to the included adapters.

Fantastic fish for freshwater aquariums but they must be kept in schools, so we recommend a monospecific aquarium with many specimens. A good idea could be a tank with thick vegetation in the background leaving the central part and the foreground free for swimming.
