Big Decision: I am not breeding anymore. I have about 20 males and 10 females to adopt out.
I will continue helping the JOSR rats out there with healthcare and boarding. I’m also continuing to source food, litter, and bottles, and will continue making hammocks and mats.
If you are interested in any of the rats available (all are from Dec 29 - Jan 9 2024 litters) please book an adoption appointment.
I plan on merging my store with the Rattery page if I can so it will be easier to order supplies. More info to come…

Our Story

We are a South Florida nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about the misunderstood companion pet rat. We also provide shelter to surrendered small pets. To date we've helped chinchillas, mice, hamsters, hedgehogs, Norway rats, gerbils, guinea pigs, bunnies, ferrets, and sugar gliders. While gerbils, hamsters, hedgehogs, mice, and companion rats stay with us, we serve as a safe way station for the others; working with specialized rescues throughout Florida.

We began this adventure in 2015 while looking on Craig’s list for a pet. There were so many people needing to rehome beloved pets, that didn’t have a safe place to surrender. We opened our hearts and home to care for these displaced pets. Every pet surrendered becomes our babies. Some stay for the remaining days and some find contentment with a new family.

Surrendering is about helping people. Adoption is about helping the pet be happy.
