Sugarbelle Foundation is continuing our celebration of 10 years of Sir William. When he was found, we were not sure he would make it, but with amazing vet care from Galleria Animal Clinic, he not only pulled through, but thrived. He had an amazing trainer, Benjamin Frederick, who worked to acclimate him to his new fur siblings and new home. Who doesn't love Sir William? Enjoy his birthday photos and other pics of Handsome Sir William!!!

Hi friends. We hope you are all doing well. We continue to stay busy and apologize for lack of updates. However, today we come to you with a heartwarming story about collaboration and love.
Sugarbelle Foundation has been helping several families with Safe Shelter. We often work closely with our friend Kasey Rawlings who oversees the GBHS Outreach Program. This is where it began.

She reached out to us to see if we had any available boarding or fosters as there was no room at the shelter at that time. The owner had just gotten out of the hospital and needed a place for her dog, Tray. Instead of finding a place for Tray, we found a place where they could be together. Fast forward a few weeks and the place she was hoping to rent was approved. But, they wanted the deposit and after paying for a regular hotel room for almost 2 weeks, (after we put them up originally) there was not enough.
That is when we reached out to our friend Randy Norris at The Station Church(if you are looking for a fun church, they are great) Jana has been friends with Randy and his family for years. We explained the situation and asked if they could possibly assist.... and assist they did. We could not be any more grateful.

Tomorrow, Tray the dog, his mom, and human brother will move into their house that has a fenced yard. It warmed our hearts to know that they will be safe. We are continually grateful to all our friends who support our mission, our vets & staff, the Remy Fund, and those who believe in us. THANK YOU!!

Tray wanted hugs and pets so getting a better photo was almost impossible!!

Our Story

We are a registered 501(c)(3), whose mission is to keep pets and people together. We help accomplish this by providing financial assistance (when using one of our partner veterinarians), assisting families with finding affordable care, food and other necessary items, to the best of our ability, to pet owners and Good Samaritans who have an animal in need. We focus primarily on the Birmingham, Alabama area. 100% of the monies collected goes toward helping the animals we have in our foundation.
