Sugarbelle Foundation The Sugarbelle Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Birmingham, AL.

The foundation helps financially struggling families in Birmingham and surrounding areas a keep their pets by providing pet supplies, finding affordable vet care, and when able, assisting with vet bills, and more! As 2024 comes to a close, Sugarbelle Foundation would like to thank YOU, our supporters for helping us achieve our mission of "Keeping Pets and People Together."
We are grateful for your donations, sharing of posts, supporting our events, prayers, positive thoughts, and just general support. Your support allowed us to help over 350 pets this year. Most were helped so they could stay in their homes while a few who needed to find new homes were able to do so! We were able to provide food, emergency short term boarding, vetting, safe shelter, medications, flea/tick prevention, and on some occasions, assisting with euthanasia for ill or old pets. Depending on the needs, some pets were helped more than once throughout the year.
We love what we do and especially love the relationships we are able to form with many of the people we help. We love educating the public about issues concerning pet safety, spay/neuter, vaccinations (the need especially when young so they do not get sick).
Our goal going into 2025 is to continue to assist those who we are able to help.
We are especially grateful to our partners at the Greater Birmingham Humane Society Spay/Neuter & Critical Care Clinic, Galleria Animal Clinic, Hope Animal Clinic and to the Remy Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham. We are able to assist animals in need and help pet parents find low cost options for their pets due to our partnerships with these amazing clinics and the Remy Fund Grant.
And we will always be grateful to the rescues we are able to work with to find homes for animals in need and/or partner to help!

Kacy has been found! Thank you for sharing

Kacy was adopted from us back in July and moved out of state with her new owner. Yesterday, Kacy came back to the Childersburg area for Christmas and got away from her family. Please be on the lookout for Kacy. You may contact Tavaria, her owner, at 256-861-4915, or the Sylacauga Animal Shelter. Thank you, and have a merry Christmas.

Hi Friends, Maverick here. Just saying THANK YOU to everyone who shared my post, offered to help me, or just sent me good vibes. I am doing much better since getting to Galleria Animal Clinic! The nice vet gave me some vaccinations, and I am taking medicine for my skin. It is a fungal infection so I must be a mushroom!! They did take some of my blood because I was drinking a lot of water. Turns out I have hypothyroidism, but no diabetes!! Yipee, no shots!! Today they will test me for Cushings Disease. If I have it, they can help me by giving me medicine!! I am in a run with more space, but the kennel I had was really nice and roomy. WAY bigger than what I had at the "old place". I am very grateful to my friend @Scott Morris for helping me get help, Sugarbelle Foundation for helping get me seen by a vet, and Bama Bully Rescue for helping find me a foster home. Remember, there are lots of dogs like me out there.... so if you wanted to foster, please reach out to Bama Bully Rescue.... so they can help more dogs like me!!

We are a registered 501(c)(3), whose mission is to keep pets and people together. We help accomplish this by providing financial assistance (when using one of our partner veterinarians), assisting families with finding affordable care, food and other necessary items, to the best of our ability, to pet owners and Good Samaritans who have an animal in need. We focus primarily on the Birmingham, Alabama area. 100% of the monies collected goes toward helping the animals we have in our foundation.
