HOME Again Horses "HOME Again Horses" is an equine quarantine facility for horses coming from feedlots, auctions, kill Illness or injury is always expected with these horses.

COMING SOON-Just finishing up some legal details and stall and fence work. "Home Again Horses" has been established for the sake of adopters who have opened their hearts to a horse that is in need of saving from being sent to slaughter. We are not an adoption facility and we are not a re-homing center. We are a boarding facility for horses that need 30 days quarantine or more before they reach the

ir new loving home. A few years ago we were re-homing many horses that needed help from rescue and broker lot organizations. In that time we have dealt with all kinds of injury as well as illness. By the time they are pulled from an auction or a brokers lot they are tired, worn out and scared for their life. Many are thin, beat up and injured from being transferred from trailer to trailer. Kicks, bites, punctures can all be expected along with Strangles, Eye Infections, pneumonia, pregnancy, lameness.....you name it. Not all horses will be ill or hurt but the chances run high and we have experienced much of it in the past. The good news is....most horses come out of it with flying colors. All it takes is a little patience and a little time and some TLC.......along with a loving individual that will give a horse a 2nd chance at life. That is where YOU come in. We are NOT a non profit. We charge for boarding. Payment for 30 days boarding is due up front before arrival of a horse to our facility. Please contact us either by phone or email to discuss rates and reserve a spot. Vet care is available by setting up an account with a local vet in my area who will create an account for you with a credit card. Not all horses require immediate care. I have had plenty stay with me that I gave 30 days to relax before they would see a vet. Some horses that are in very bad shape DO require immediate care and that is the responsibility of the owner. It is a personal decision but I will always be happy to discuss the condition of the horse and update you on progress. Strangles does not require a vet call all of the time but again....it is an individual decision and depends on how much experience and knowledge you have of dealing with it. We offer single private stalls for your horse as well as a turn out. We will NOT take standard horse size stallions. We will CONSIDER miniature horse stallions. All horses need to be paid for in advance. If your horse is staying past the normal 30 days you will be required then after to pay either weekly or bi-weekly payments up front for your horse until he/she leaves. If payment is not received your horse becomes MY property and I will have the right to re home it. You will be signing a paper agreeing to this. I have seen it happen too many times where horses have been left at facilities and I can promise you that this will not happen here. We are NOT affiliated with any rescue organization or individual who is involved with auction, kill pen, feed lot horses. We are a separate entity. If you do not have the money to board than do not contact us. We love these horses as much as anyone else but the stalls here are reserved for individuals who are paying customers. We would love to save them all....and have tried in the past but the numbers of horses to be saved is endless. We save them one at a time here and have decided that a quarantine facility will benefit many adopters and help get many more horses in need to new homes by utilizing our quarantine facility.
