Dear JVA Family,
As we start 2025, I would like to relay a heartfelt message on behalf of all of our doctors, managers, technicians, client service representatives, and veterinary assistants.
But I would first Iike to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to all of you for entrusting us with the care of your beloved 4-legged companions. Your trust, loyalty and friendship are what drive us to be better every year.
Looking back on 2024, JVA has continued to accept new clients and patients that have joined our JVA family. We are proud to have implemented a new, paperless file software that will help usher in new standards of patient care and ensure uniformity between our main office and our soon-to-be-opened satellite location, JVA North Campus. We also implemented a new phone system which allows our clients to leave their prescription requests while freeing up our CSRs to answer important phone calls. Thank you to all of you who have been patient with us with these systems and understand that with improvement comes growing pains.
As it relates to the North Campus, we have received your emails, numerous phone calls and in-person questions regarding the opening of our satellite location which will have the same protocols, vision and mission of our main campus. Our staff has been diligently answering your questions as we get input from our construction project managers. But unfortunately, like many construction projects, unforeseen delays have also affected us, but we hope to open and service clients by the end of the first quarter in 2025. Once we open, our existing clients will see some of the friendly faces they see here in Johnstown and our new clients will learn what makes our JVA Family so special.
At times, JVA experienced significant traffic inside the building due to multiple doctors working, along with their support staff, which led to congestion inside the building, long wait times, and phone lines being busy. I realize that this was frustrating for a few of our clients, to which I apologize and promise that we will always strive to be better for our beloved four-legged patients. As a proud member of AAHA since 1958, JVA’s highest aim is to provide skilled and compassionate care in concordance with the high standards that AAHA mandates.
Looking ahead to 2025 as it unfolds, I would like to share a few updates:
(1) We will no longer be participating in an on-call rotation with other local practices.
We will be providing care of our patients during regular appointment times, as well as emergencies, between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on weekdays, and 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday.
(2) Very soon, we will be closed on Sundays, and ask that prescription pick-ups, as well as boarder drop-off/pick-ups be completed from Monday through Saturday.
(3) Once JVA North is ready, we will hold an open house to welcome you.
Again, I thank you for your support and trust in JVA. We are looking forward to serving you in 2025 and wish you and yours a peaceful and prosperous year.
