Meanwhile, Jason gets to hang with these cuties all weekend. I was lucky enough to spend a little time with them yesterday, as well. Which is great because Goose is very weary of new people, but together Jason and I were able to make him comfortable. By the end of the day he was rolling over asking for tummy rubs!

This is Aspara(Gus). He is a 6 year old Old English Bulldog/Lab mix whom we love very, very much. When he was about 2 we discovered he had epilepsy when he had his first seizure at our home in Tahoe. After about a year of visits to the vet and moderate control of the occasional seizure through the use of CBD, our poor baby experienced multiple seizures in one day. Each was worse than the last, leaving us no choice but to take him to the Emergency Vet in Carson and put him on Phenobarbital to minimize his epileptic episodes. It pains us to see him in such a vulnerable and confused state, to have to have him on medication, to have him be a danger to himself, but we are so honored to be his humans and to be the ones who get to provide him with a happy and loving life. We are his protectors and we wouldn’t have it any other way. ♥️
Gus loves to eat everything (including asparagus, yes), swim in our big blue lake, give everyone big wet kisses, fart, obsess over tennis balls, go for jogs in the mountains, a cold brewski, walks on the beach, and enjoy a nice night in curled up by the fireplace.
