🥁Thumbelina (now Libby) has left PC and is now very pampered living in Idaho with Cynthia.

"One week with Libby I love her more every day. We are starting to have a routine it seems and I am learning more about her".

Libby has already had a nail appointment with Julie of The Catnip Getaway. I understand she was a bit spicy and may need some calming agent next appointment.

Did you know 6 minutes is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot vehicle and face lifelong or fatal consequences? ☀️🥵 Pets can still overheat even when the windows are down, or if the car is parked in a shaded area.

With temperatures rising, we want to make sure your pets are safe! Some things to remember are:

☑️ Know the symptoms of overheating in pets, which include excessive panting, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, drooling, seizures, bloody stool, and vomiting, to name a few

☑️ NEVER leave your animals alone in a parked vehicle (Even with the window cracked! Studies have found that cracking the window has very little effect on the temp inside the car.)

☑️ Educate your family and friends about the risks of leaving their pets in the car so they can keep their animals safe as well!

Happy Gotcha day (yesterday), sweet Wiggles. Wiggles was in Merced CA county animal control and was on the dreaded "list". New Beginnings For Merced County Animals asked if we would take him and of course we said yes. He received his golden ticket and was flown here by Dog Is My Co-Pilot and then after a short time with us landed in with the most loving family.

"Ten years of loving Wiggles. ❤️ Some days are a challenge, he's part Chihuahua after all! Happy gotcha day my little man! We love you very much!"

All of these kittens, young adults and adult cats (and more not pictured) are searching for their furever homes. These are all LOCAL (Libby/Troy) and were the result of people not spaying and neutering. We (rescues) are overrun with cats/kittens and we don't have room for them all. PLEASE, consider adoption. These cats/kittens are vaccinated, altered, microchipped, vet checked and socialized.

These are only a "few" of the cats/kittens that don't have a home. We have been asked for help for at least 7 other litters of kittens and their moms. We don't have room and are doing our best, but we NEED the community's help.

PLEASE If you have a female or male cat that isn't altered, please contact KPFL (406) 293 5735 or message this page for resources for spay/neuter assistance.

If you think that kittens being given away on fb, grocery store parking lots etc. are getting the best of homes and a rosy life, you are mistaken. Most won't live to a year and most will not be spayed/neutered so the cycle will continue and they will start reproducing about six months. PLEASE be a part of the solution and spay/neuter.
