Our service is designed with the discerning homeowner in mind. You would like to go on multiple short breaks or overseas travel and need someone to take care of your menagerie and property in your absence. You do not like to take advantage of family and friends and besides it probably isn't practical as there may be additional chores around the house such as putting out bins, collecting mail and watering pot plants. Or you may have dogs which due to health or past circumstances do not fare well in boarding kennels or with home boarders. You can be sure we will love your pets and protect your property as you do.

A wonderful explore down Mill Lane over Willow Bridge through Angrove woods and along the Brook.

Reggie walked all the way expect a when there were thistles hidden in the grass and I would give him a lift over them. Sometimes 5cm long legs can be a hazard😚

Reggie took us for a delightful explore around the Jubliee Gardens in Somerford.

At 11.56 am I greeted an elderly gentleman with a breezy 'Good Afternoon'. He looked down at his watch and with a big smile he said to me 'Don't wish your life away'.

This has got me thinking. How do you measure the passage of time in your life?
By the seconds on a clock?

For us, it is by the number of pets and properties we have looked after over the last ten years of full-time house sitting.

Wikipedia:

"Jenny and George, aka Running Ducks, are just brilliant!
I have a very complicated house; lots of animals, plants, routines, to ensure smooth running of the place. They both stepped in and took over all the complexities, as though they had been here for ever. The animals were so loved, were safe. The house and (some more difficult than others) its occupants were managed with skill and I was able To relax on my trip to the other side of the world!! Believe me, this is not an easy job. The stress of leaving everything here
Made going away incredibly difficult!!

When we say as housesitters you have to be able to deal with all sorts of events last night was a case in point.

A sparrowhawk flew into the kitchen. There was a lot of breakables and we did not want the dogs or cats getting involved either.

First evasive action was to secure the dogs away from the scene. Then George could catch the hawk before it caused any damage to itself or the kitchen.

It was an amazing experience. ❤️‍🔥

Pop along on George's morning routine feeding the horses. Jenny mixes on their feed in the buckets and helps me clean. At lunchtime we will let them out onto their track.

Pet sitting including feathered friends. Right through summer we have to keep the drakes away from the females so they'll sit along each side of the fence.

He ❤ biscuits. So I broke a few to pop in his ball and helped him now that his eyes are failing. And afterwards he fell asleep like this🥰🐶 Our sweet boy xx
