Max’s Progress: Tackling Aggression and Reactivity

Max, one of our dedicated academy students, has shown significant improvement in managing his reactivity. However, as he becomes more comfortable with his trainer, Sean, some old habits, like severe food-related aggression and resource guarding, have resurfaced.

We’ve identified food as a major trigger for Max, leading to these behaviours. To address this, we’re planning to gradually increase his controlled interactions around food, helping him learn that there’s no need to guard his resources.

Max’s journey is ongoing, and while there are challenges, we’re confident that with continued effort, he will keep making positive strides. Stay tuned for updates on his progress!

Madra has basically reset our life! Our cocker spaniel, Ollie was reactive and all round out of control. He spent six weeks on the residential programme where Rebecca and the rest of the team took him back to basics. They helped create a more calm and in control dog.

Madra also train you as the owner on how to control and manage any behavioural issues which was key for us.

We have consistently continued the training and attend weekly bootcamp sessions. Help and support is always available.

I had worked hard with my dog and took him everywhere with me...then he started becoming unpredictable and reactive and I lost my confidence with him.

I've never had much faith in dog trainers, always felt that they talk down to owners and don't really listen to the owners when talking about an individual dog's personality and what they would like to achieve with the dog.

Sean and Aaron are totally different, they really listen and have been fantastic in restoring my confidence and helping reduce my boys reactivity and teaching me how to control him when it does happen...we can go on adventures again!
