Sweet Bonnie is still on the hunt for her forever home, and time is tick-tick-ticking! ⏳ Her amazing foster mama can only host her for another three weeks, and the thought of Bonnie bouncing to yet ANOTHER temporary spot instead of settling into her forever home has us ugly crying into our coffee. 😭

At 3-ish years old, Bonnie’s temporary-houseguest days should be OVER. She’s got too much life to live and love to give! She’s only 35 lbs, so she won’t hog much space during Netflix marathons, but trust us, her big personality will fill the room. 🫶

Bonnie’s got energy to spare, so she’s on the lookout for an active human to match her zest for life. Whether it’s tackling trails in the White Mountains, winning the Green Mountain Iron Dog race, or joining you for Canicross (don’t worry, she’ll take the lead—literally), Bonnie’s your girl! 🙋‍♀️

Now for the nitty-gritty:

At 9 years young and just 3 lbs (yes, you read that right!), this suspected Chihuahua mix is ready to bring some extra small joy to your life. Don’t let her size fool you, though; Ebony is not handing out trust for free. She’s looking for a patient human who’s ready to put in the work to earn her love. Think you’re up for the challenge?

This handsome hound has a story as big as his floppy ears! Sweet Brecken was picked up as a stray and brought to one of our southern partner shelters where we just knew his family would come rushing in to claim him. But nope—no one showed up! 😢

He endured way too many nights in the noisy shelter environment until a foster hero stepped up to give him a safe and cozy place to lay his head. Now, Brecken’s living the good life and prepping for his forever home in Massachusetts! 🏡

About Brecken:
* Age: approximately 2 years
* Breed Guess: Possibly part Coonhound (aka the best mix ever).
* Weight: currently 57 lbs
* Good With: Kids 5+ and other dogs
* Nope With: Cats—they’re his arch-nemesis!

When we asked his foster to tell us a bit more about Brecken, she shared: 💬 “Here is your outdoor adventure buddy!! Brecken loves a car ride with his head out the window feeling the wind on his face. He loves long walks where he can put his hound dog sniffer to good use, there will never be a squirrel in the vicinity that he won’t let you know about. He is affectionate but not clingy. He is great with other dogs and loves to have a friend to calmly hang out with. Brecken is smart and could learn a lot more than he already knows.”

Brecken tested positive for Heartworm disease a few months ago, but he’s completed his treatment and is 100% ready to live his best life! Dogs who’ve beaten heartworm go on to thrive, so don’t let that stop you from falling head over paws for him. 💙

Somerville’s most eligible bachelor is still available for adoption, and frankly, we’re shocked! Gyro, a 4-year-old, 48-lb low-riding charmer, is basically perfect—and yet, he’s still waiting for his forever home. 🥺

Licorice is officially tired of being ghosted. 👻 This sweet 8-month-old pup has everything going for him—33-ish pounds of pure sweetness, zoomie-certified, and blossoming into his best self—and yet… radio silence.

He gets it: he’s a little shy at first, and leashed walks? Well, those are still a work in progress. But does that really warrant a disappearing act? Licorice says no thank you. 🙅

🏠 No fenced yard? No problem! He’s great about doing his business on-leash in his foster’s yard.

Our small but mighty rescue is no stranger to big challenges, and today, we’re asking for your support—whether it’s positive vibes, a few hopeful words, or a donation of any size—for the incredible animals in our care who are fighting for a second chance at life. 🙏

Many of you fell in love with Willa’s sweet face when she graced our social feeds not long ago. After her October surgery was unexpectedly canceled, we’ve been counting the days to give her the life-saving procedure she so desperately needs, and tomorrow is the big day! At over $5,000, this surgery is a massive undertaking for our rescue, but without it, Willa’s future would be heartbreakingly uncertain. ❤️‍🩹

Then there’s Paws, a local stray kitty whose life changed forever when we found him with a severe leg injury. We won’t share the graphic before photos, but trust us, this sweet boy’s transformation is already incredible! Just days after surgery, Paws is showing signs of relief and comfort for the first time in who knows how long. 💙 Seeing him out of pain reminds us why we drop everything to help animals like him, even when expensive vet bills—like his $1,500+ emergency surgery—fall into our laps unexpectedly.
