Hold on to your hats, folks, because Grace is coming in hot! This little firecracker might only be 3.5 months old and a whopping 10 lbs, but in her mind, she’s as big as a Great Dane—just don’t break the news to her! After weeks of urgent medical care and soaking up all the attention from our southern team (she’s basically a celebrity down there), Grace is finally ready to make her grand entrance in Massachusetts and find her forever home.

With her tiny size (and even tinier bladder!), Grace needs a home where her people are around more often than not to help her master all those important puppy life skills. And let’s be real, she’ll need a crash course in puppy training with a certified positive reinforcement trainer to make sure she grows up to be the best adult pup she can be. Grace is currently living it up with her foster dog siblings and holding her own like a pro, so she’s ready to join a multi-dog household. As for kids, they’ll need to be dog-savvy and gentle—Grace is small but mighty! We’re not sure how she feels about cats, though.

This adorable pup may not be racing in the Indy 500, but she’s gunning for first place in your heart! 🏎️

Indy is a 1-ish-year-old Malinois-looking mix who’s looking for a pet-free pit stop where she can be the undisputed queen of the garage. But if your kids are dog-savvy and can handle the occasional toy mix-up, Indy will be the best teammate they could ask for! 🎾

She’s got top-tier leash skills, a love for crate time, and the kind of work-from-home vibe that makes her an A+ office assistant (though she’s more into defluffing stuffies than filing paperwork). She’s also a big fan of outdoor adventures, so if you’re looking for a co-pilot for your next hike, Indy’s your girl. 🥾

Adoptable Janelle would like you to know the camera adds 10lbs. 📸

Now before you get offended, it’s important we clarify she’s speaking about herself. Every picture we have of this lady makes her look bigger than she actually is. Truth be told she’s only 31lbs, making her a very solid “medium sized” dog. Assuming your idea of “medium sized” is the same as ours — but let’s not get into technicalities here. What’s even better is at 8 months old she’s got about one growth spurt left in her and then she’ll be about topped out. Under 40lbs full grown seems like a safe bet, if you’re the betting kind. We are not, we are more of the petting kind around here. 🐾

Anyhoo, we’re going to be honest with you about Janelle: she’s the fan favorite amongst the adoption counselors. Don’t tell the other dogs, they’re just as delightful, but this girl? Well, we’re smitten. 😍 Everyone wants a dog who can get up and go without being an absolute lunatic. That’s Janelle. Ready to play, adventure, and socialize one minute and then kick back and relax the next minute. It’s almost as if she has an off switch! 🐕

Her personality makes her a fabulous friend for people who want to take their dog to all the dog friendly spaces and events. Morning hike followed up with lunch on a dog friendly patio? Janelle says she’s already packed her water bowl and treats. Rainy day errands followed with couch cuddles? Janelle says she’ll drive! (Do not let her drive.) Saturday morning soccer game for the kids? She’ll help rufferee! Basically, if it’s cool to bring your dog, Janelle will be thrilled to be your plus one. 👏

We’ve been keeping the teeniest, tiniest secret…and we can’t hold it in any longer! 🤩

A litter of small-breed puppies and their sweet mama, Sweetie Pie, have been growing up in a loving foster home, and they’re FINALLY ready to start their search for forever families! These 4 adorable cutie pies—and their mama!—will each be ready to go to an individual home on Sunday, September 1st! 🐾

4 year old Sweetie Pie is all of 11 lbs and while we don’t know who the dad was, these 8-week-old pups are only clocking in at 3-4 lbs a piece which means we can make some educated guesses that they are going to stay on the smaller side once fully grown. Just like their mama! 🧡

Each of their future families should remember that puppy training classes with a certified positive reinforcement trainer are a MUST for these little ones—and mama could use some ongoing training support too. 💪 Let’s make sure these pups grow up to be the best versions of themselves!

All five of these adorable pooches will thrive in dog-friendly households with other pups or dog-savvy kids over the age of 5. They haven’t had any kitty exposure, so we can’t say for sure how they’ll do with feline friends.

Friday the 13th might be unlucky for some, but for our incoming pups, it’s looking like the luckiest day ever! 🍀

We couldn’t wait to spill the beans on our next batch of precious pups getting ready to hit the road. 🚐 These little furballs (plus a few camera-shy ones!) are ready to trade in their Southern drawls for some New England charm. In just 2 weeks, they’ll be saying their goodbyes in Alabama and making the long trek to Massachusetts, where they’ll begin their search for forever homes. 🏠

Don’t let the date spook you—these pups have been working hard on their life skills, like figuring out what’s not an approved chew toy (we’re looking at you, kitchen table legs!) and learning where to do their business (outside, pretty please!). Sure, they might need a little more help along the way, but who doesn’t have a few things they’re working on?! 🤷‍♀️

To help avoid any extra confusion for these pups during such a big transition, adopters should be ready to bring their new 4 legged pal home on Friday, September 13. Not quite ready for forever? Have you ever met a dog who truly embodies their name? Well if you haven’t, you have now. Meet Bliss! 👋

This girl is, as her name suggests, complete happiness. When you see that 77lbs meatball of a dog hurtling across the yard, tongue a-flappin’, wind in her fur you just can’t help but smile. Partially because she looks kind of ridiculous but mostly because her joy is contagious. 🤣

In her foster home, Bliss has been working on all the basics: house training, crate training, WWE moves, walking on leash, couch snoring, etc….you know, life skills. Some things are, understandably, going better than others. Leash walking for instance is a work in progress and Bliss does require a bit more training in that aspect. Unless you like having your arms pulled out of their sockets on leisurely strolls, then by all means! With that in mind, frail people and young children are not an ideal match for this, and we say this with love, bowling ball with legs. 🤪

What we do believe is a great match will be someone with a physically fenced yard and a comfy couch for naps. As far as household companions go, dogs, cats, and kids are all fine with Bliss, assuming that they can tolerate big, goofy dogs. 🏠

That’s right, folks, 11 adoptions might not sound like a ton, but around here, it’s like hitting the jackpot! Each adoption is a tail-wagging, happy-dance moment, and we believe every single one deserves a celebration. 🥳

Please join us in giving a huge round of applause to our incredible foster families who temporarily open their hearts (and couches) to these lovable pups, our vet care teams who work tirelessly to ensure our dogs are healthy and ready to roll, and our superstar transporter who braves the highways between Alabama and Massachusetts to bring these precious passengers to safety. Our sweet, lovable Poppy has had a ruff time finding her forever family. Since arriving in Massachusetts at the end of May, she’s bounced around six different foster homes. Yes, SIX! 😱 Each and every family has fallen head over paws for her, but with summer vacations and back-to-school chaos, poor Poppy is facing yet another move. 💔

Due to her current foster mom being a school teacher, Miss Poppy needs to switch to yet another foster home in just a few days, but we really, REALLY want this next move to be her last—to her forever home. 🙏 She’s smaller than she looks at just about 49 lbs, and at a year old, she’s not expected to grow much more (unless, of course, you overindulge her with treats—understandable, because she is simply A-DOR-A-BLE. 🤩)

Poppy has proven herself to be quite the adaptable little lady, living in homes with and without other dogs, and she’s been a hit with littles, teens, and adults alike. However, she does need a feline (and bird) free zone, as those little critters are just too tempting for her to resist! 😅 She isn’t looking for much from her future family—just a cozy spot to snooze after a day of exploring the neighborhood and soaking up the sun. A fenced yard would be a bonus, but it’s not a must for this house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-savvy pup. 🏠

⭐️ Update: Gilly was adopted by another member of her previous family! ⭐️

No matter how long ago one of our dogs was adopted, we’re always here to welcome them back with open arms—and right now, Gilly needs us more than ever. 💔

After several years in a loving home, Gilly is returning to our care, and the world is a pretty scary place for her right now. She is now around 4 years old and 56 pounds (okay, maybe a few pounds heavier than she should be—who among us hasn’t had a little too much kibble?)

She desperately needs a quiet, pet-free foster home where she can decompress and feel safe again. Gilly’s world has been flipped upside down and she’s going to need some time to catch her breath. Unfortunately, in her current living arrangement she’s currently sequestered in a room all by herself, and if we aren’t able to secure her a new foster home ASAP, the next step would be boarding. We’re struggling at the thought of this sweet girl, who’s been used to cozy naps and cuddles, being stuck in a kennel 24/7. 🥺

But we’re hopeful—hopeful that one of you might be her foster hero, giving her the space and love she needs to start her journey toward a new forever home. Let’s show her that she’s not alone and she’s got a whole community of people rooting for her!

Hello and welcome to Starbarks! Did someone order a medium sized Mocha? Anyone? Any…one…? ☕️ They must not have arrived yet. There’s no way someone could let this Mocha go to waste. Just look at that face! That smile! Those eyebrows! She’s simply delicious.

A special recipe, Mocha is a little dash of this and a little dash of that, making her the perfect blend of sweetness. Like any good caffeinated beverage, she’ll get you up and going in the morning, excited to take on the day by your side. Freshly brewed, she’s only about 8 months old and expected to top out around 50lbs. As with most caffeinated beverages, we wouldn’t recommend our Mocha to young children; her puppy shenanigans can be a bit too strong for youngins who haven’t had a lot of experience with dogs. Alternatively, Mocha does pair nicely with other dogs and wouldn’t mind a home with or without them. As far as cats go, we’ve never mixed the two so small sips are recommended. 🤏

An on-the-go staple, Mocha will keep you upbeat for even the most mundane errands. She’s the perfect sidekick and loves being involved in any and all dog-friendly activities. However!! Don’t get it twisted – just like your morning coffee, her energy surge starts to settle as the day goes on. By the time dinner rolls around she’s more of a decaf Mocha, ready for snuggles and sleepy-time. 🛋️

At around 8 months old and 31 lbs of pure puppy love, Janelle is the total package. She’s got the energy of a caffeinated squirrel and the heart of a snuggle champion! 🐶 Whether you’re looking for a future agility star or just someone to Netflix and chill with, Janelle is your gal.

She’s a social butterfly with other dogs but her true love? People! If you’ve got a dog-savvy cat at home, no worries—Janelle’s got you covered there, too. 👏

She’s been working on mastering her “four-on-the-floor” greeting technique—she’s just too excited to meet new pals, and who could blame her? So older, dog-savvy kiddos are best suited for this little jumping bean. And let’s just say crates are not her favorite at the moment, but who can blame her after multiple days of travel and then 48 hours in quarantine? This girl just wants to stretch her legs, snuggle up, and enjoy some serious couch time. 🛋️

We are so grateful to be able to collaborate with the smart, patient, and caring positive reinforcement trainers at The Dog Behavior Institute. 🧡 Their expertise has helped so many of our fosters and adopters over the last year and we cannot thank Ran and Stephanie enough for volunteering their time with us.

We’ve got some un-fur-tunate news: Sweet Bunny is back in our care. 🥺

It breaks our hearts when adoptions don’t work out, but we believe every pup’s journey leads them to the perfect forever home. 🏡

2 year old, 34 lb. Bunny is a gal with simple tastes: she’d love a home with another dog to be her partner in crime, some patient people to help her navigate the big, wide world, and a yard to patrol for those dastardly squirrels. Oh, and teenagers are cool, but cats? 🐱 Bunny has decided they’re her sworn enemies.

This perfectly-sized medium pup is a BIG fan of treats, so training her is both a breeze and a delight, especially when you toss in her favorite snacks. 🍪 She’s made huge strides with the help of a certified positive reinforcement trainer, and her new family should be prepared to continue this training journey with her.

In her downtime, Bunny loves to toss toys to herself, chew on Benebones, and snuggle up with her favorite humans. She’s hoping her second chance leads her to a forever home that understands her quirks and loves her for exactly who she is. 🧡

Sweet as sugar, and twice as nice, 1 year old Chloe is ready to find her forever slice of heaven! 🏠 She might be shy at first, but don’t let that fool you—her sparkling personality just needs a moment to ✨shine✨.

Our girl Lavinia recently had her close-up, and let’s just say we’re OBSESSED with the results! 😍 This 5-month-old, 24 lb bundle of joy couldn’t stop wiggling her adorable butt long enough to stand still—her happiness is contagious!

While she’s friendly towards other dogs, humans are 100% her jam. Lavinia thinks every new person she meets is a potential BFF—if only she had thumbs, she’d be handing out friendship bracelets. 👯‍♀️

She’s the perfect fit for first-time dog parents or anyone ready to bring back the joyful pitter patter of paws after a four-legged hiatus. Got a cat? No worries!
