Took Mr. Barley to the vet today, had x-rays done and a physical.

They think he has Wobbler Syndrome which could be caused by rough housing, other dogs, shaking, playing roughly ect...

Wobbler syndrome is a term used to describe gait seen in dogs with spinal cord compression in the neck where they take floating steps with the front limbs and have a swaying or wobbly gait in the hind limbs.

Only treatment he's had in the past was pain meds and anti inflammatory which didn't work.

He's getting some steroids and another medicine today, we're trying that out to see if he improves and of coarse, no slick floors so it can help him balance better with his condition.

I will update everyone and let's hope for improvement.

Barley still needs a home to take care of him.

He's really a good dog, I haven't seen any aggression and he loves the kids!!

Every single time he sees the kids he gets super excited.

🛑 Special need boxer family needed 🛑

This is Barley, he was the runt of the litter born July 23rd 2021.

The family that took Barley, noticed that he had issues with his rear end in October and he was taken to the vet, they weren't able to find anything conclusive.

In February 2022 he was taken back because he was not getting any better, they are suspicious about his disc spaces at L5 and L6, they think there is some impingement in the nerves forming the sciatic nerve.

They have made the unfortunate decisions to find a new home for Barley. They have said that he has exhibited behavior that's questionable and isn't responsive to positive reinforcement or training. They also stated that he has attempted to nip and bite several people during this time, they said it's random and unpredictable. They said he's getting much larger and stronger. I would assume that he is possibly in pain? I'm not sure.

I have talked with several people that are experienced. I was advised that it could be an easy fix with chiropractic care.

If anyone can help Barley please let me know.

They would love to find a good, loving home for him that could help him and give him the time he needs to get better.

We do not have any boxers puppies at this time! Congratulations to all the 6 families that brought home a puppy from this litter. I hope you are loving every minute with the new member of your clan, and always remember " The puppy stage won't last forever " 🤣🤣

Molly is doing good just a little overprotective, so her and Maggie have not got along the best 😔 so I had to use furniture to separate the front room from
The rest of the house.
Puppies had their tails done and dewclaws done yesterday. We have one little girl who's tiny, and I have been bottle feeding her. All in all they're all great!!

We lost a puppy today 😓 it was a male. So we have 6 puppies left and all are spoken for. This is always a crucial time the first 2 weeks of a puppies life. 😭
