URGENT: Please Help Mia & Micah Heal 🐾

Mia and Micah were found left outside in a tiny pen with no shelter, no food, and no water. Both needed emergency surgery, Mia for cherry eye, and Micah for a life-threatening re**al prolapse.

Thanks to Dr. Vickie L. Howell in Greenville, TN, these sweet pups got the care they needed and are now safe and recovering. 💛

But their vet bills are high:

• Mia: $1,205.96
• Micah: $1,912.17

We are deeply grateful for the donations already received, they truly saved lives. We still need help to finish paying these bills.

You can donate directly to the clinic by calling Dr. Vickie L Howell at 423-638-2273 and making a payment on Mia & Micah’s account, or donate through Grainger County Humane Society.

Every share, every dollar means the world. Thank you for giving Mia and Micah a second chance. ❤️🐾

Foster Homes Needed
We are in desperate need of foster homes. Our rescue is fully foster-based, and right now our fosters are at capacity. That means dogs and cats in need have nowhere to go unless new foster families step forward.

Fostering saves lives. It gives animals a safe, loving place to heal, decompress, and prepare for adoption. GCHS provides supplies, veterinary care, and support, you provide the love and temporary home.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time! ❤️

💔 Mia and Micah Need You

These two sweet dogs were left outside in a 3x3 pen with no shelter, no food, and no water for several days. A neighbor stepped in just in time.

They are now safe, but they are in pain and need urgent medical care.

Mia has cherry eyes, a painful eye condition that requires surgery to prevent infection and vision problems.

Micah has a re**al prolapse, an extremely painful condition that can become life-threatening without surgical repair.

They’ve suffered enough. Now they deserve relief, healing, and a second chance. Please help us cover the cost of their surgeries.
Donate if you can. Share if you can’t. Every act of kindness matters. ❤️

Our Story

The Grainger County Humane Society is a not-for-profit organization that was formed May 10, 2001. Our mission is to promote humane treatment of domestic animals, educate the public about their responsibility of providing treatment and care. We are a foster run group with the goal of building a shelter in Grainger County. Our efforts are solely funded by non-profit and corporate grants, individual and business donations, adoption fees, and from fundraisers. All our efforts, including animal rescue and care, are accomplished by a very small group of dedicated unpaid volunteers. We will also use our FB page to reunite animals with their owners. If you have lost or found an animal. Please send us a private message, picture of animal, location, and contact information. We will add it to our Lost and Found Album.
