Introduction to K9 Nose Work. This is your introduction to the wonderful work of Scent Work.

Introduction to Odour: teams need to have completed as Introduction to K9 Nose Work with a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) or Associate Nose Work Instructor (ANWI).

In a world of fast-paced everything, it's good to consider the benefits of slowing down.

Slow food.
Slow breathing.
Slow maturing.
Slow thinking.
Slow eating.

But taking decades to attain this certification is perhaps a little extreme!

I am thrilled to have achieved this and extremely grateful for (more than) a little help from my friends - canine, feline and human - over the past 30 years.

I'm excited about offering more Tellington Ttouch support for companion animals and their humans over the coming months.

It was lovely meeting this gorgeous young boy this week.

After some traumatic experiences, Paddy doesn't love being grooming. He and his mum are now working on some husbandry games to rebuild their confidence and trust, and set them up for stress-free grooming.

While we do that, it's important to have some strategies available that can be used as needed. Loaded likimats can really help with necessary tasks such as checking feet for grass seeds after walks.

Looking forward to this journey.

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Given the response I might need to schedule a Loose Lead Walking short course using the principles of TTouch in the New Year. Watch this space

This is a callout to Macedon Ranges dog people - or those who would are prepared to travel to Romsey.

I am looking for someone to help with 3 x 30 minute videos in which you receive training on:

- preparing a dog for wearing a Ttouch harness
- correctly fitting and adjusting the harness and a connector
- helping your dog walk in balance (not pulling)
- fitting harnesses to different sized dogs (using stuffies)

This will happen in one session and must be completed before Friday 13th December.

What you'll be ask to do:

- have a dog that is reasonable comfortable being handled
- available this coming week (I can be flexible with times)
- play the role of the 'learner' in the video.
- you will get to keep the equipment to use with your dog (no charge)

Why am I doing this?
I am updating my Teaching and Assessment qualifications, and this is part of my assessment. The video is for assessment purposes only and won't be shared without your permission.

What a delightful 'Ttouch Weekend for Companion Animals' with Robyn Hood and Robertson at the wonderful Elphinstone Recreation Hall

My sincere thanks to all who came and brought along their beautiful dogs for us to work with and observe. Despite Saturday's heat, we managed to stay cool and comfortable.

Sadly no groundwork photos from day one, but here's a selection from day two doing touches, wraps for both dogs and humans.
