Un cane è una responsabilità, non deve essere un regalo scelto con emotività!

🎁Ma se proprio vogliamo adottare un cane...che sia di allevamento o di canile, che sia cucciolo o adulto.... alcuni consigli generici per minimizzare il rischio di fare errori!

🧐Scegliete un allevatore serio, che allevi per passione reale e che faccia poche cucciolate e ben selezionate, che allevi preferibilmente una sola razza, che vi faccia domande sul vostro stile di vita e sulle vostre aspettative e vi aiuti a scegliere in base alle caratteristiche dei cuccioli (no, scegliere il cucciolo che ci viene incontro non si rivela sempre una buona scelta!), che vi faccia vedere i genitori e come cresce i cuccioli, che vi faccia fare degli incontri prima di portarlo a casa, che vi dia indicazioni sulle caratteristiche della razza e sulle esigenze

⚠️Scegliete un canile dove vi facciano domande sul vostro stile di vita, sulle vostre aspettative e vi facciano fare un percorso di conoscenza reciproca con il cane che avete individuato per capire se sia il cane giusto per voi e se voi siete le persone giuste per lui; scegliete un canile dove non vi mettano fretta, dove ci siano professionisti seri che vi aiutino nell'inserimento o ve ne consiglino per partire con il piede giusto;

📣 Chiedete e pretendete tutto ciò e in entrambi i casi fatevi aiutare da un professionista che possa aiutarvi ed indirizzarvi

❤️ Evitiamo le scelte dettate solo ed esclusivamente dall'emotività: un cane richiede impegno, tempo, energie fisiche, mentali ed economiche. Sicuramente nella scelta di un cane la componente emotiva è importante, ma cerchiamo di mettere in conto anche i risvolti pratici e la nostra disponibilità a modificare inevitabilmente alcuni aspetti della nostra vita

🧠 Riflettete bene e prendetevi tutto il tempo necessario perché sarà il vostro compagno di vita per almeno i prossimi 10 anni!

Imperial is a happy boy with a permanently waggy tail and he loves humans, all of which are his very best friend in the world.

He's about to take his 6 month assessment which will then take him to the next stage of his training to become a Medical Alert Assistance Dog and we've no doubt his paw will be firmly on the next rung of the career ladder!

Nieve is trained to alert Emily for Mast Cell Activation episodes, giving her a 20 minute warning so she can get somewhere safe and call for help. Thanks to Nieve, Emily is now able to enjoy days out that would have previously have felt unachievable for fear of collapse and injury.

This was Nieve's first trip on a train since the duo have been accredited when they went to London to see a show. Nieve snoozed on the train, alerted Emily in the restaurant before the show started and then snoozed throughout the show.

What a star!
