Happy birthday Marshall!!!

He got a treat of Triple Crown Feed senior, Outlaw Nutrition cold milled flax, all his favorite treats (Outlast treats, triple crown gut health treats, Manna pro apple) apples, carrots and Triple crown stress free forage. He loved it and got to share it with his herd mates. ♡

I don't bake well, so a carrot cake was out. lol Maybe I'll try that for his 21st birthday. 😊

Marshall is one of many horses that makes our barn such a great place. We love you big guy!

We have two project horses available at our facility!

Apache - 6 year old draft type mare. GREEN broke. 15.3+ she's a big girl. She has been trail ridden and ridden this winter in our indoor. She has been sitting for a few weeks due to me getting injured but she was ridden today and did great (two protests) she has a pretty solid walk/trot and starting to get the canter down. She is a more anxious horse so taking it slower with her is key. 5️⃣K

Buttons - 9 year old quarter horse. 15hh. Grade. Broke to ride and is pretty nice! She just needs more consistency. She started some gaming and mounted shooting training. Has some anxiety when leaving her herd but that gets better the more she's worked. She knows all gaits, leads and is really ready for a JOB. 3️⃣K

PM for owners info to discuss more!

These are great horses and we want to see them have a wonderful career!

Best way to get them broke, be obnoxious.

This c**t doesn't care about too much lol

LLE HORSE OF THE MONTH

Sadies Wild Rose "Sadie" is truly an LLE icon.

Sadie is kind, quiet and very laid back. Except when it is time to go to the shooting arena, she is ready to lay down as fast of a time as you ask her to! She will also calmly trot or lope the pattern as well. You ask, she does!

She is our first mare to have a foal. Her foal, Aurora, turned out absolutely stunning, just like she is. ❤️ Sadie was the best mom, laid back and very easy to work with. Though she was protective when needed.

When Sadie isn't competing in mounted shooting or having foals she helps us break out other horses, teaches mounted shooting lessons and is often seen in our lesson and camp programs. All levels and ages ride her.

This mare can do it all. She is truly a blessing to have here.

Lesson cancelations and cold weather

We usually do lessons until about 15 degrees. After that we factor wind chill and the individual horses and riders that are coming. Some riders and horses are fit to ride much colder than that, while others are not. We factor in the safety and productivity of the lesson when making these decisions.

The rest of this week we decided to cancel. Horses are doing well in this weather, though some are starting to show their frustration with signs like not eating as well.

We try to contact riders at least an hour before their lessons (in case things change for better or worse) but we decided with the Forcast this whole week is not looking great. Next week is iffy, too.

Stay warm! Spring is on its way!

11/02/2025

Lessons 2/11 are canceled
Stay warm!!
