PENDING
Bullet is a 6 year old registered American Quarter Horse mare. She stands at about 15 hands and her registered name is ‘Bullets Blue Gal.’ I bought her as a filly when she was just 8 months old. She has a super solid base of groundwork: round penning, lunging, yielding hindquarters, backing, and all that. This horse is super easy to catch and will stand tied all day. We’ve done a fair amount of trailering and she does well; loads right up, sometimes she could use a bit coaxing but never major issues. She has been turned out with a variety of horses and does tend to be at the top of the pecking order. She is not barn or buddy sour. Super easy keeper and has always been sound and healthy. Bullet has wonderful ground manners and will stand to have her feet handled, fly spray, baths, etc. She will lower head on cue and also does know the general idea of ground tying. She is also fine around dogs. She is super friendly and has a somewhat humorous personality.
Bullet has just been my personal horse and I’ve mostly ridden her western although I did have her in a English saddle a few times for fun. She is super broke, no buck, bite, or anything like that. I’ve done a lot of trail riding with her and a bit of arena work, even took her through a fast food drive through once. She absolutely loves water, will cross bridges, traffic safe, etc. I’ve had quite a few beginner riders on her and she has always done well but I would prefer to sell to at least an intermediate level rider. She can tend to be more forward but does not get carried away. She is very easy to handle under saddle. Very soft on the mouth and will walk, trot, canter, smoothly. She will side pass and pivot, but nothing perfect. Bullet also has a smooth back up and a nice stop. I personally started this horse under saddle myself and never had any issues from day one. She has always been very easy to train and eager to learn.
I have taught her a few tricks just for fun. She knows how to ‘smile` and also will shake her head ‘no` on cue. I also taught her to ‘sit` on haybales. She does know how to do this trick but it never seemed to be her favorite thing so she can be reluctant at times and its not perfect by any means. And lastly Bullet does rear on command. And for this reason I would like her to go to someone who has at least some experience with horses. I do not practice this trick very often so she does not do it perfectly but she does know it.
Like I said, I’ve owned this horse since she was a filly and she’s been amazing. She is super versatile and will most definitely excel in any direction you wish to take her. My only reason for selling is I am getting married and will not have the space for her anymore.
