🎉 Congratulations to Kim O. and her 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, Nyna, our Sniffer Dog of the Month for September!

Nyna is the founder and a proud graduate of our Pup-Camp program and has been an active participant in classes and dog sports at Jane Book's Dog School since she was just a pup. She loves coming to Scent Detection Class, using her amazing nose to find those hidden scents, all with Kim by her side!

Congratulations to Corin M and his 4 year-old Australian Shepherd Rodryck, who is our Sniffer Dog of the Month for August.

Rodryck was one year old and unsocialized when Corin started working with him. Rodryck loves working for Corin to find scent and works hard to control his searches. Play time with Dad after a search is his favourite part!

CKC judging complete for Guides du Canine in St. Lazare Quebec. Teaching workshops on Scent Detection this week and then a SDDA trial this weekend. What an amazing place for all dogs and their humans. My girls are having a great time at the pool as well as the hiking trails.

Congratulations to Tango owned by Karen M. who is our Sniffer Dog of the Month for May!

Jane has chosen this 2-year-old Portuguese Water Dog due to her unique scent hunting style. Since starting Sporting Scent Detection training Tango has shown great enthusiasm for the sport and can hardly wait to be given her "search" cue.

Tango has picked the sport up very quickly and is gathering titles in both SDDA and CKC Scent.

Congratulations to Taylor S. and her Shetland Sheepdog Dolly, who is our Sniffer Dog of the Month for March.

Taylor says Dolly "has been the light of our life since she was born. She is a sweet girl and never fails to make us laugh. We love all of her quirks, and yes they are many of them. Since starting scent detection, Dolly has grown so confident and truly enjoys it. When she isn't using that nose she's tearing it up completing her hot laps, left turns only of course, sleeping on the couch or a lap watching the world go by and Dolly loves walks, especially on the beach. I'm excited to see what is next for Dolly, she's the best friend I could ask for."

Dolly is fairly new to Sporting Scent Detection, but has show great enthusiasm for the sport making her our Sniffer Dog of the Month!

Congratulations Maze, our Sniffer Dog of the Month for February. ⭐️

Maze has been learning Sporting Scent Detection at Jane Book's Dog School (and The Dog Scents) since the fall. Her owner, Michelle came into her life about a year and a half ago through a rescue program.

Maze is deaf which makes her unique way of learning a challenge that requires lots of perseverance. Maze was very fearful after being rescued and due to her hearing loss she has some unique ways of receiving praise and gaining understanding of the sport. Through lots of patience and positive reinforcement her life skills and Scent skills are building and she is growing more confident each week making her our Sniffer Dog of the Month.
