Happy holidays! These kittens were brought home for Christmas, but were refused, and are unable to return to their original location. They're in distress, currently stuck in a car with a litter box, with the door locked until a home can be found, and in danger. We're afraid that dogs will hunt them if they're released outside or are left around the property (Waterloo area) for too long. The person who brought them home is dealing with neurodegenerative issues which prevents them from making secure plans for these kitties going forward. Any contacts willing to help are out of state and far away. We need local help for these little ones, and fast.

4 kittens. They're black/dark grey, weaned, and have been held. They're litter box trained and were both outdoor/indoor until recently. Friendly and chill, as far as kittens go.

Yesterday, our sweetest Dusk boy was adopted into his forever home. Watching him begin his next adventure fills our hearts with so much joy. Best wishes to our strongest little fighter, we’ll always be cheering you on. 💙🐾🥳

We apologize for messing up the name of an amazing collaborator and local vet, Dr. Marshall Aanestad. He has performed countless surgeries for animals under our care, been the attending veterinarian at our monthly low-cost spay/neuter clinics, and is always a joy to work with.

Be sure to read the last article of the newsletter about the surgery Dr. Aanestad performed with assistance from a talented OU pre-veterinary student, Lauren Lietzke. The surgery was a great help to the cat, Gabby, who had a badly injured leg.

Very sweet to all people, affectionate and such a soft coat. He just can't get along with our other cat and should to go to a home without other cats. He would love to lay on your lap on the couch, but is used to being outside.

We’re assisting a local family who is caring for three young kittens in need of safe, indoor homes. They’ve lived mostly outdoors and may be a bit shy at first, but they warm up quickly and are playful, affectionate, and great with children. All are using the litter box and appear healthy. Their mom has already been spayed.

Kittens:

🐾Cleo – Sweet, timid, loves snuggling on laps.
🐾Bruce – Curious, playful, and looks like “Batman.”
🐾TipToe– Friendly tuxedo, social and fun without being needy.

The family is offering $50 toward spay/neuter for each kitten.

FOUND CAT – Monticello Village

A friendly cat has been found in the Monticello Village area. The cat has a tipped ear, but is extremely friendly, which may indicate it has an owner.
